The View cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin revealed she insulted Bill de Blasio in front of his girlfriend.

The conservative panelist said she was backstage at CNN and had no idea his girlfriend was next to him.

“Alyssa, that’s mortifying,” Sara Haines replied.

Her voting record isn’t the only thing that’s red in Republican Alyssa Farah Griffin’s world. So, too, was The View cohost’s face after she insulted former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio while unknowingly sitting next to his girlfriend.

As the talk show cohosts discussed a Hot Topic on Friday about the art of “‘man-keeping’ to blame why straight women are single,” Griffin, 36, revealed an embarrassing moment during which she learned that women really do have the power to save a man from equally humiliating circumstances.

“There’s also countless stats about how having a woman in your life, a female partner, as a man, improves you overall,” Griffin observed.

She then spoke about “one example of glow-ups” involving de Blasio’s girlfriend, whom Griffin didn’t identify by name during the segment.

“I’m sitting at CNN with a table of people, the TV is on, and I see former Mayor Bill de Blasio is on and he was looking better than ever,” Griffin remembered, pointing out that the gray in his hair made him look “like his old self” as opposed to his former dye job.

“I just blurt out, ‘I’m so glad he stopped dyeing his hair that weird color,’” said Griffin. “Next to me, a beautiful woman goes, ‘Oh, he’s my boyfriend, but, don’t worry, I told him to get it back to his natural hair!’”

Griffin summarized the exchange by telling her cohosts, “Case in point? Women save men from themselves!” Sara Haines jumped in to tell Griffin, “Alyssa, that’s mortifying.”

The former Donald Trump White House staffer agreed.

“I was so embarrassed, I was bright red, I was apologizing. She was very lovely about it, but that’s why you need women in your life,” Griffin continued, while Joy Behar ended the Hot Topics chat by stressing, “They need us desperately!”
