It Has Been a Long Journey for the Couple

The journey to this moment was not without its challenges.

After two years of trying to conceive naturally, Alyssa and Justin turned to in vitro fertilization (IVF), undergoing five rounds before achieving success.

During this process, Alyssa was also diagnosed with endometriosis, adding another layer of complexity to their path to parenthood.

Reflecting on their experience, Alyssa expressed gratitude for the support of her husband and their fertility doctor, Dr. Taraneh Nazem.

Alyssa gushed about how thankful she was for Nazem.

“I just loved her,” Alyssa told the outlet. “I’ll never forget in our first visit, she told us, ‘The good news is, you’re going to have a child. I want to tell you that upfront. It just might take a few rounds.’”

The Two Are Excited About the Upcoming Arrival

She described the moment she felt their baby’s first kick as “magical,” emphasizing the emotional significance of this milestone.

“It’s starting to feel very real,” she told the outlet. “This past week, I felt the baby kick for the first time, and immediately I grabbed Justin’s hand and he felt and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, what’s happening?!’ It was magical.”

The couple, who married in November 2021, are excited to embark on this new chapter of their lives.

They look forward to leaning on their extended family for support and are inspired by the parenting journeys of their siblings.

Alyssa, thrilled to be a “boy mom,” said the hardships now feel distant as they eagerly anticipate the next chapter in their lives.

She added she always dreamed of having a boy first.

“I grew up with sisters, and I’ve always liked the idea of a big brother looking out for the younger siblings (because we both want two kids),” she added.
