It’s been more than a week since Whoopi Goldberg has been on The View, and Joy Behar has had to start debunking rumors about her absence.

With Goldberg away for another work obligation and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announcing her resignation from Congress in January, some X (formerly known as Twitter) users have wondered if she’ll now find a job co-hosting on The View — especially now that she seems to have made nice with the current co-hosts during her recent visit to the Hot Topics table.

“Marjorie Taylor Greene will now work as a private citizen on a grassroots level to get hired as a cohost on The View,” one social media user speculated, while another added, “Don’t be shocked if she’s a full-time anti-Trump host/commentator within a few months.”

Behar, who has been a co-host on The View since the show began airing in 1997, took a moment out this morning’s broadcast to not only address Goldberg’s absence, but also to talk about the rumors surrounding Greene’s future on the talk show. Keep reading for everything we know.

Is Marjorie Taylor Greene replacing Whoopi Goldberg on The View?

Marjorie Taylor Greene might be unemployed beginning in January, but she currently has no plans to join The View — or replace Whoopi Goldberg, for that matter.

While Goldberg was absent from this morning’s episode, Joy Behar assured the audience, “Don’t worry, she’s not being replaced by Marjorie Taylor Greene,” referring to a “rumor” she read following Greene’s resignation announcement.
