Ana Navarro is on top of her political commentary, but she’s also not afraid of what’s going on beneath The View‘s Hot Topics table.

The Republican panelist welcomed interview guest Henry Winkler to the talk show Friday by making a quip about his underwear during the broadcast, which stunned the studio audience enough that they collectively gasped at her remark.

After an introduction from moderator Joy Behar, Winkler approached the table and gave Navarro a kiss on the cheek before he sat for the interview.

“I like your blazer,” Behar observed. “Brand new. Haven’t worn it before. Saved it for you!” Winkler replied.

“What about the tie?” Behar inquried. Winkler told her that, unfortunately, “the tie is old.”

Behar took the bit even further, asking, “How about the shirt? How about the underwear?” as Winkler began to answer.

Navarro cut him off midway through his response, though, asking, “What makes you think he’s wearing any?”

The View audience gasped in the background while Winkler’s jaw dropped.

“Ana!” Behar exclaimed, before Winkler high-fived Navarro for landing the joke.

“My underwear is painted on,” he replied, before the interview carried on with no further mention of his undergarments.

Navarro is no stranger to making unexpected jokes at the Hot Topics table, with the 53-year-old’s cohosts ribbing her in January over past comments she made about her desire for recording superstar Maluma.

“What’s the guy you wanted to feed?” Sara Haines asked at the table during a discussion about celebrity crushes, referencing Navarro’s past admission on Instagram that she’d like to breastfeed Maluma.

“Good Lord that boy, Maluma is sexy -he’s young enough to be my son, which might explain why I’d like to breast feed him,” Navarro wrote in the 2023 post, which she shared when she was 51 and Maluma was 29.
