In a week when far-right media outlets should have been promoting unity and reflection during the Thanksgiving holiday, their airwaves were instead dominated by rhetoric that was simultaneously extreme, illogical, and morally devoid, highlighting a chilling regression in political discourse. From racially charged conspiracy theories regarding immigration to deeply personal attacks and threats of retribution against military leaders, prominent Fox News commentators found themselves at the center of outrage, exposing the lengths to which this segment of the media is willing to go to defend and advance its political agenda.

Michael Cohen, a prominent political critic, utilized live clips from these programs to showcase the level of “derangement” and “stupidity” emanating from figures like Steven Miller and Jesse Watters, who are actively poisoning the political atmosphere with baseless claims and inflammatory rhetoric.
The Racist Conspiracy: ‘The Somalification of America’
Steven Miller, a former senior advisor to the President, delivered one of the most shocking and overtly racist statements of the week. Miller ranted on Fox News about the “Somalification of America.” According to Miller, the ultimate objective of the Democratic Party is to turn the United States into a version of Somalia—an “empire of ashes”—because “it’s easier to rule over” than a functioning Western society with a strong middle class.
Miller explicitly used a racially divisive example from Minnesota, claiming that Democratic Party power “became permanently powerful” in the Twin Cities after the state was “flooded with 100,000 Somalis,” leading to elections decided by “clan rivalries and ethnic feuds.” Cohen directly compared Miller’s rhetoric to that of Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda master, underscoring the severe danger of such language coming from someone who once held, and seeks to hold again, a position of proximity to presidential power.
In the same segment, Miller delusionally claimed that he “praises God every day” that the President is in office, boasting that the administration has already solved critical national problems: wiping out 30% inflation, 20 million illegals, and violent crime, and successfully accomplishing “every single policy platform” from the Republican National Convention. Cohen swiftly countered these claims as baseless fantasy and a prime example of the “racism that just pours right out” of Miller.
The Attack on Military Honor and the Threat of Retribution
Another disturbing stream of absurdity flowed from Jesse Watters, who launched a vicious personal attack on Senator Mark Kelly, a highly decorated retired Navy combat pilot and astronaut. Watters was defending Pete Hegseth’s previous threat of investigation against Senator Kelly over Kelly’s statements urging military members to follow the law rather than illegal orders. Watters framed the incident as Hegseth seeking retribution because the Senate treated him “like crap” during his confirmation hearing.
Watters assertively and mockingly claimed that “Pete now controls Kelly” and that the respected Senator is going to “get a little bit of a spanking.” The attack devolved into Watters mocking Kelly’s highly decorated military career, claiming Kelly “doesn’t even know how to dress up” and that the medals on his chest are “all cockeyed” and in the wrong direction.
Cohen, in his outraged counter-critique, dismantled the sheer idiocy of this position: Kelly is a retired, respected Senator, a hero who flew 40 combat missions, and does not work for Hegseth. Watters’ suggestion that a Secretary of War could impose “retribution” on a sitting Senator, complete with military inspections, was deemed “the stupidest thing” imaginable, highlighting a profound contempt for the civilian chain of command and the honor of military service.
Economic Fallacies and Contradictory Data
Watters further demonstrated his break from reality with extreme claims regarding immigration and economics. Watters adamantly asserted that deporting 8 million illegals by the end of the term will single-handedly solve every socio-economic woe in America.
He offered a simplistic and false economic equation: “Crime goes down, rent goes down, health insurance goes down, car insurance goes down,” and “wages go up.” Watters attempted to justify this using basic “supply and demand” theory, claiming that removing 8 million people will make everything else “lighter” and “go down.”
Cohen, however, introduced factual evidence to refute these claims, citing analysts who show that removing even legal, hardworking migrants does not fix the economy and is already contributing to increases in housing and food prices. The inherent contradiction within the pro-Trump media was also revealed: while Watters confidently claimed 2 million illegals are “gone” in one year, another Fox News segment was shown, reporting that the MAGA base was “not thrilled that it’s only 600,000,” exposing the deliberate manipulation and inflation of data.
The Hypocrisy of Pardons and Elite Crime

Cohen’s final conclusion drew a sharp contrast between the far-right’s manufactured outrage over “crime” and their defense of white-collar and elite criminals.
Watters claimed that Republicans will “hit back hard” because Democrats “charged Donald Trump like 94 times,” raided his house, and arrested his associates. He warned that those who prosecuted Trump “have to pay a price” for “crossing the line.”
Cohen immediately exposed the staggering hypocrisy by asking: Who is the one truly pardoning criminals? Cohen reminded the audience that the President himself pardoned over 1,500 insurrectionists involved in the Capitol attack.
More critically, Cohen revealed the extraordinary special treatment afforded to Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted sex trafficker. Instead of facing harsh confinement, Maxwell was moved to a satellite camp with “a service dog,” having meals brought to her, and possessing such power that “any correctional officer… does anything that she doesn’t like, they get shit canned.” Cohen condemned this, asking who is truly responsible for coddling criminals (implying the administration) while its surrogates cry vendetta.
In summary, the segment exposed a media apparatus that is falling into “insanity,” willing to use racist rhetoric, malign military heroes, and twist economic data to promote political vengeance, all while quietly protecting and elevating elite criminals—a complete and utter collapse of logic and decency.
