BOOM! From living in a £350 “mold-ridden hell” to owning a £420k Mock-Tudor mansion—this gamer just banked a staggering £1.4 million without ever leaving his bedroom!

I’m A Celebrity winner AngryGinge has rewarded himself for his meteoric rise by snapping up a £420,000 mock-Tudor home — after earning an astonishing £1.4 million before the age of 25.

The content creator-turned-TV star, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, completed the purchase of the three-bedroom luxury newbuild in Tyldesley, Greater Manchester, in June last year.

The property — located in a historic market town — boasts a bright kitchen-diner, two high-spec bathrooms, large front and back gardens, a hot tub, covered patio and a sweeping driveway. A far cry from the “s***hole” flat he once rented for £350 a month.

And remarkably, buying his first home hasn’t dented his finances.

Burtwistle’s phenomenal 2025 alone brought in £1.2 million, including £100,000 for winning I’m A Celebrity, cementing his status as one of Britain’s most lucrative online stars.

From Council Estate to King of the Jungle

Raised on a council estate in Eccles, Salford, Morgan and his sister Tasha, 27, were brought up by their single mother Michelle, 50, who juggled three jobs — in a school kitchen, as a cleaner and in a care home — to earn just £12,500 a year.

At 18, Morgan even offered to leave home to reduce the financial strain on his mum, moving in with his grandmother before renting a run-down flat with mould, peeling wallpaper and no shower.

“I called it a pub,” he once joked, “because people didn’t believe I actually lived there.”

That humility and honesty later struck a chord with ITV viewers.

Speaking in the jungle, he told fellow campmate Alex Scott:

“We’ve got no problems getting our hands stuck in, because that’s what we’ve had to do from being little.”

£12.44 to Millions

AngryGinge began streaming on Twitch in 2020, filming himself playing FIFA from his bedroom. His first stream peaked at 40 viewers, earning him just £12.44.

At one point, he nearly quit — demoralised by streams watched by just six or seven people.

But after the death of his grandfather during Covid in 2021, he committed fully, streaming up to 10 hours a day, five days a week. The grind paid off.

Today, he boasts over five million followers across platforms and major brand deals with Puma and JD Sports.

Two years ago, he used prize money from a streamed football challenge to pay off all of his mother’s debts.

“She struggled as a single parent,” Michelle previously said.
“Now he always tells me, ‘If you need anything, just ask.’”

A Complicated Past — And a Proud Present

Morgan has spoken openly about his estranged father, who walked out when he was young — plunging the family into poverty and leaving his mother to cope alone.

By contrast, his relationship with Michelle remains central to everything he does.

After winning I’m A Celebrity, he said simply:

“I wanted my mum to know how well she did raising us — and how proud I am of her.”

From streaming in a bedroom to becoming King of the Jungle — and now a homeowner with a £420k property — AngryGinge’s journey is a modern British success story.

And he’s only just getting started.
