Whew! Raven-Symoné Explains Why She Doesn’t Clap Back At Orlando Brown’s WILD Stories About Her (VIDEO)

Whew! Raven-Symoné Explains Why She Doesn't Clap Back At Orlando Brown's WILD Stories (VIDEO)  Miranda Maday

One thing about it, Raven-Symoné is not interested in beefing with her former co-star Orlando Brown. The Disney superstar says her money is long enough that she doesn’t have to engage in clickbait. Not only that, Raven says Orlando is smarter than people think and too quick with the clapbacks for her speed. The actress this and ALL the tea on why she avoids his viral rants and allegations about her during an interview on ‘The Jason Lee Show,’ which also featured her wife, Miranda Maday.

Raven-Symoné Says THIS About Orlando Brown Name-Dropping Her

While chattin’ with Jason Lee, the HU founder asked Raven-Symoné what is Orlando’s “infatuation” with her. As mentioned, he’s made some WILD claims about Rae over the years, including intimacy allegations. Then, there’s the huge portrait tattoo of the actress on his chest and neck, which he debuted in 2018. Miranda Maday hopped in when the tatt came up!

“I have to be really careful about what I say about Orlando because…Orlando is very smart. His tongue quips are so much faster than mine, and I know that. So, he can come off the dome quick like…like that. He’s been doing that since I’ve known him and I’ve known him a long time. My quips come three weeks later,” Raven-Symoné said.

For those who might need a refresher, Raven-Symoné and Orlando Brown were portrayed besties, Raven and Eddie, on ‘That’s So Raven’ from 2003 to 2007. When Rae rebooted the series, former co-star Anneliese van der Pol joined the cast. Orlando Brown, however, wasn’t tapped to return for the adult Eddie role.

In her interview with Jason Lee, Raven explained that she has known Orlando Brown through plenty of his life seasons. She also said that her bank account is secured enough not to need the exposure from reacting to his wild stories.

“I know also that I know his family, I know him, and I knew him before drugs, after drugs, during God, not during God, and he was a comedic genius. And he’s still making people laugh…at others’ expenses. And I’m secure enough in my bank account, and my life that I don’t have to dig that deep down to take it, and I also don’t defend myself about anything because that’s his experience. Only way people are going to know if it’s true or not is if I corroborate. And I plead the fifth, period.”

Rae added that while people “think” they know Orlando, she ACTUALLY does. “I worked with him for seven years, day in, day out. That’s nothing,” Raven-Symoné said.

Raven Gives Orlando Credit For His “Comedic Genius”

As the conversation with Jason Lee continued, Raven-Symoné clarified that Orlando had his own fame before joining ‘That’s So Raven.’ She reminded the host of his role in the movie ‘Major Payne.’

“Orlando was on the same trajectory. I have to give him his props as a comedian…I’m almost 40, I don’t have room to steep and dip that low. I gotta wife, I got sh*t to do. You can stoop,” Rae said.

But that’s not where his resume from the 90s ends. Brown starred as Cadet Kevin ‘Tiger’ Dunne in the 1995 film alongside the Wayans brothers. The former actor also appeared in other TV hits, such as ‘The Jamie Foxx Show,’ ‘Family Matters,’ and ‘Two of a Kind.’

What’s Been Going On With Orlando?

As Rae mentioned, in recent years, Orlando has flipped back and forth from presenting as a family and church man to being a viral sensation. In November 2024, he seemed to be on an upswing after announcing he and his wife, Danielle Brown, were expecting another child together.

The couple welcomed their second child, a daughter, at the beginning of last year. Their firstborn is a son, and Danielle is also the mother of two kids from a previous relationship and one deceased daughter. In early March, Orlando posted new pictures of him and three of their kiddos online.
