She just can’t stay away! Only two months after leaving TODAY, Hoda Kotb came back, though not to appear on air.
The beloved former host stopped by the set to say hello to Jenna Bush Hager, with whom she used to host the fourth hour of the show, TODAY With Hoda & Jenna, now renamed TODAY With Jenna & Friends.

“What is happening?” Hager yelled, thrilled, as Kotb crashed the morning meeting. “I FaceTimed you today!” she added. Clearly, these two can’t get enough of each other, co-workers or not. “I know. I had to come in for a second,” Kotb explained, giving her pal a hug.
She then turned to this week’s co-host, Dwyane Wade, praising his skills as a broadcaster. “You’re crushing it!” Kotb told the basketball star. “Okay, you’re so good,” she added. And the fans agree.
On Instagram, the comments are full of viewers who hope Wade becomes a permanent part of the fourth hour. “He is great !! Pick him !!! great new vibe !!” wrote one. Of course, most were just happy to see Jenna reunited with Hoda. Can’t blame ’em.

In addition to working on new projects in the wellness space and maintaining a relationship with NBC, Kotb’s new schedule has allowed her to embrace a different set of experiences with her daughters, Hope and Haley.
“A road trip with my kids in my minivan,” Kotb told Marie Claire of what she looks forward to in her new chapter. “Also, the idea of not having to go to bed at eight o’clock every night. Being normal and going out for dinner and to have a date and to do things and to not be thinking constantly about, How late is it? When can we get home? Seeing my family in D.C. without it being a thing. And summers! Holy mackerel, summers!”
Of course, she can’t stay away forever. Barely two weeks after her last TODAY broadcast, she was having dinner with Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie.
“Also remember when you had that big goodbye party and now I am like…… HIIIIIIIIIIII!” she joked on Instagram. Yeah, but we love it!
