In January 2016, Orlando Brown was arrested in the parking lot of the Torrance, Calif., police station and eventually charged with domestic battery, obstruction of justice, and two felony counts of drug possession. Brown’s girlfriend at the time, Omena Alexandria, who now shares a child with the actor, recalled the harrowing series of events that led up to the arrest in the “Child Stars Gone Violent” installment of Investigation Discovery’s new docuseries, Hollywood Demons, which premieres on Monday.
Alexandria says she and Brown started dating eight years after That’s So Raven, the Disney sitcom that shot Brown to fame, aired its last episode in 2007. Though she claims to have previously discovered drugs among Brown’s possessions, she says she “didn’t realize there was a drug use problem until his violence kind of gradually escalated.”
“We were arguing once again in the car, and it just turned ugly,” she recalled. “We’re arguing and fighting about everything, and he’s saying crazy stuff at this point: ‘I’m a freemason!’… He’s screaming at me at the top of his lungs, hurling his arms, ‘You effing B, do you know who I am? I’m Orlando Brown you dumb B!’ He’s in my face, screaming, and I’m right here.” So Alexandria “loudly” dictated to her navigation system, “‘Map me to the local and closest police department,’ which was Torrance.”
Rather than startling Brown into silence, the threat of exposure to law enforcement only accelerated his erratic behavior.

“We pull into the police station, we don’t even get out, he’s still yelling in the car,” recalled Alexandria, who said that she remained “stoic,” calmly requesting that Brown relax. But he continued: “‘I don’t care, I don’t give an eff they’re watching. I’m Orlando Brown, they’re supposed to watch! They’re gonna watch!’”
Alexandria said Brown was “doing all of this within 10 minutes of us being parked there. Before I knew it, I blink, and my car is surrounded by cops.” According to Alexandria, Brown “refused to get out of the car,” and would not hand over his ID. She recalled being “surrounded by police with guns, pointed at my car, pointed at me. They’re telling him put his hands up, and he’s still taking trash.”
The scene reached a violent climax when, according to Alexandria, “I watch him reach down in his sock pull out a meth pipe and throw it under his seat. Cop didn’t play that — he saw him move an inch, they must have pulled that man out of my car so quick and so fast that Honda door was swinging!”
Brown was ultimately arrested following the incident, with the felony complaint stating that he also struck the woman with whom he was in a relationship, per CNN. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, bringing methamphetamine into police headquarters, battery, and resisting or delaying arrest.
He eventually pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor possession charge and no contest to the other charges. Brown was given three years of probation with a 62-day credit for jail time already served.

This was only the beginning of Brown’s legal problems. He was arrested again in 2018 for an outstanding warrant stemming from the earlier battery charge; faced another domestic violence charge in 2022 after allegedly threatening a relative with a hammer and a knife; and last year, was kicked out of a Los Angeles restaurant following an outburst in which he referred to himself as “Satan and Lucifer’s son.”
On Tuesday, Brown released the song “Love To You,” his first new song in three years, which he also executive produced.
“Child Stars Gone Violent,” the second episode of Investigation Discovery’s new series Hollywood Demons, premieres Monday, March 31, from 9-11 p.m. ET on ID and streams on Max.
