Will Dolly Parton Join Beyoncé  On Tour?

Will the Queen of Country, Dolly Parton join the Queen Bey Beyoncé on stage during the latter’s world tour?

Never say never!

During an interview with HuffPost, Dolly was asked about the possibility and said, “You never know ― anything is possible! Because she really is doing great with that [tour]. I was very honored that she wanted to do her version of ‘Jolene.’ That’s all a great compliment to me, when somebody wants to do my songs in any version.”

On her Grammy-winning “Cowboy Carter” album, Beyoncé did her own rendition of Dolly’s 1973 hit single “Jolene.”

And Dolly Parton made an appearance on the album in an interlude, saying “Hey Miss Honeybee, it’s Dolly P. You know that hussy with the good hair you sing about? Reminds me of someone I knew back when…”

Dolly Parton appears a second time on the album in the song “Tyrant,” kicking off the track with, “Time to strike up a match and light up this juke joint.”

Beyoncé’s Tour Isn’t Scheduled to Stop in Nashville

As for where Dolly Parton might join Beyoncé on stage, the tour is in New Jersey right now. The next stop is London starting June 5 for six shows. It then heads to Paris for three shows.

There are no tour stops scheduled for Nashville, where Dolly Parton lives. The closest venue would be Beyoncé’s four nights in Atlanta in July.

In the past, Dolly Parton has said she will no longer tour, but her reasoning was based on not wanting to be too far from her husband Carl Dean. Dean passed away March 3 but Dolly hasn’t said if that changes her plans regarding touring.

Dolly Parton Says She Loved Beyoncé’s Take on Her Hit ‘Jolene’

As for Beyoncé’s reboot of Dolly’s hit “Jolene,” the country icon has nothing but good things to say about the new version.

Dolly Parton told Huff Post that she “loved” Beyoncé’s country album “Cowboy Carter” and explained why she found the singer’s rendition of “Jolene” so “amusing.”

“I was very amused by her take on that, and I got a big kick out of that,” she said of Beyoncé’s new lyrics. “She’s not gonna sit back and say, ‘Oh please don’t take my man.’ She’s gonna kick some a**!”

While it remains to be seen if Dolly Parton will take the stage with Beyoncé, the tour has featured some very special guests on stage with the singer.

In her Los Angeles stops, Queen Bey brought daughters 7-year-old Rumi and 13-year-old Blue Ivy on stage for the song “Protector,” which Rumi performed on in her mom’s “Cowboy Carter” album.

Blue Ivy also came on stage to dance to Beyonce’s “Deja Vu.” The teenager confidently fronted a group of dancers during the song, then ended by blowing kisses and flashing peace signs at the crowd.
