Reba McEntire Has a Whole Room Devoted to One Country Staple

 

Reba McEntire has collected quite a few prestigious awards over the years, but the country music star reportedly has a pretty stunning collection of something else: boots. However, she doesn’t just have a full closet of fancy footwear; McEntire has an entire room in her home devoted to this country staple.

“My boot room is the thing that everybody goes into and says, ‘Oh my gosh,’” the singer shared with TODAY. Just how many boots does she have? The answer seems to be ever-changing. “Last time I counted, I had 100 pairs of boots, and I think it’s doubled since then.” Of course, as the daughter of a rodeo star, McEntire’s love affair with boots has lasted nearly a lifetime.

McEntire Still Remembers Buying Her First Pair of Boots

Even with easily over 100 pairs of boots in her present-day boot room, McEntire still remembers the first pair she ever purchased. As she told People, she bought them because the boots she had at the time were falling apart. “I had one pair of boots I ran barrels in, I remember … I had duct tape around to keep the sole together,” she said.

After finishing third in a competition, she knew it was time for an upgrade. “The next day I went down to the Western store and bought a new pair of boots and some clip-on stirs,” she said. “That’s the first pair of boots I bought.” Surprisingly, the singer shared that, although that first pair of boots is long gone, she does still have a pair from the late 1970s in her closet.

The Singer Has Her Own Boot Collection Through Justin Boots

In addition to having a large boot collection of her own, McEntire also teamed up with Justin Boots to launch a boot line. The collaboration launched in 2017 and included options for every kind of boot-wearer. “I wanted a variety of boots that I could wear on stage. Then I wanted a pair of boots for the girls to run barrels in,” McEntire told People, emphasizing the versatility she wanted the collection to have.

Today, Justin Boots still features two pairs of “Reba by Justin” boots on its website. Both pairs come in versatile, neutral colors and combine practicality with a little bit of cowgirl flair.
