Reba McEntire Says It Wasn’t Love At First Site For Her And Rex Linn

In a new interview with ET Canada, country superstar Reba McEntire opened up about her romantic relationship and longtime friendship with boyfriend Rex Linn. She also admitted that it wasn’t love at first site for the pair.

Reba and Rex first met in 1991 when they worked together on the movie “The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw.” Reba was newly married to Narvel Blackstock at the time and was focused on the success of her country music career. So, she likely didn’t give Rex much notice at the time, though the two did remain friends.

As fate would have it, their paths would cross again in 2020 when she was in Los Angeles filming “Young Sheldon” and ended up at dinner with some friends, including Rex. While it wasn’t love at first sight, it sounds like Reba and Rex’s story is more like love at second sight.

Reba told ET that her life is “absolutely wonderful.”

“I’m with the love of my life, Rex. We just have a wonderful time,” McEntire said. “My family is happy and healthy. I’m a very blessed person.”

Reba McEntire and Rex Linn started dating soon after their 2020 reunion and she has been smitten ever since.

The “Fancy” singer said that Linn makes her laugh “thousands of times.”

“We have so much in common. We grew up in Oklahoma and we both love the Western way of life. We love rodeos – he’s a team roper and I’m a barrel racer. We love horses, animals. We love acting, we love music, we love food and we love to laugh,” Reba said.

The couple recently appeared together in the ABC drama Big Sky where they played husband and wife, Buck and Sunny Barnes. The show was cancelled ahead after three seasons. But, fans of Reba can see her on tv again in the fall when she replaces Blake Shelton on The Voice.
