After a week-long Tonight Show hiatus, Jimmy Fallon returned to the air with his best memory of Prince – and it’s pretty epic.

In Fallon’s telling, the music legend, who died at 57 on Thursday, challenged him to ping pong at Susan Sarandon’s SPiN in N.Y.C.

“He had kind of these Bambi, doe eyes,” Fallon said, when he arrived in the room where Prince would be challenging him. And Prince swiftly beat him, with a winning shot that bounced off the very edge of the table.

Fallon, 41, also recounted seeing the musician at Madison Square Garden, where he invited Fallon up on stage to dance and then vanished, leaving the comedian to bop around alone, in front of thousands, as Questlove played drums.

“He’s a legend, and we wish he were around to make more music and more stories,” Fallon concluded. “We love him.”
