She’s a country star, a rock star, a movie star, a television star… no matter how you slice it, Dolly Parton is the Star of the Show!

So it just makes sense that “Star of the Show” is the title of her latest book.

Dolly has announced a release date for the third book in her photographic trilogy that already includes “Songteller: My Life in Lyrics” and “Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones.”

While “Songteller” focused on her prolific career as a songwriter, and “Behind the Seams” looked at Dolly’s iconic wardrobe, “Star of the Show” will focus on her amazing more than seven-decade career.

In an emailed newsletter to her subscribers, Dolly writes, “I’m so proud that I’ve been able to spend the last 70 plus years doing what I feel I was born to do…singing, writing, and performing. Even prouder that I’ve been able to do it with and for my fans. God bless you everyone.” – Dolly Parton

‘Star of the Show’- What We Know So Far

In an Instagram post announcing the new book, Dolly writes, “I’m so excited to finally share my new book with you, ‘Star of the Show: My Life on Stage!’ This book is a celebration of my journey as a performer, filled with personal stories, cherished memories, and never-before-seen photos from more than seven decades on stage. ‘Star of the Show: My Life on Stage’ will be out everywhere on November 11, and you can pre-order it now at the link in my bio.

A deluxe hardcover edition will also be available, featuring an exclusive cover and special photography prints — a little something extra for the fans who’ve been with me every step of the way!”

The emailed newsletter describes the new book this way: “Brimming with Dolly’s trademark wit and heartfelt sincerity, STAR OF THE SHOW: My Life on Stage is not only an homage to one of history’s most cherished artists, but also a must-have collector’s item for—and love letter to—any fan of the one and only Dolly Parton.”

Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum About to Stage Dolly Takeover

The new book is not the only way Dolly Parton fans can get their fix!

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will go full Parton this May when it opens “Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker.”

The exhibit will walk fans of the legendary singer-songwriter through every step of Dolly’s extraordinary career. From her humble beginnings in Sevier County, Tennessee, where Dolly Rebecca Parton grew up as the fourth of 12 children in a one-room cabin in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains… all the way through her rise to become one of the most beloved superstars in the world.

In a post on its Instagram account, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum says the Dolly Parton exhibit will focus on all things Dolly, writing, “Even among living legends, @DollyParton’s star shines with unusual brilliance. Her fame casts a wider, brighter light today than at any time in her career of sixty-plus years. The Country Music Hall of Fame member has enjoyed seemingly effortless success as a singer, songwriter, movie and television actor, author, businesswoman, and philanthropist ever since she first hit the record charts in 1967. In truth, however, her achievements required determination to get past those who tried to limit the scale of her dreams.”

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will open “Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker” on May 20 in Nashville, Tennessee. It will remain open until September 2026.
