Post Malone Includes Star-Studded Cast Of Collaborators On Debut Country Album F-1 Trillion
Dolly Parton is one of several country artists who recorded a song for Post Malone’s debut country album, F-1 Trillion. The album, which dropped at midnight on Friday (August 16), features 18 tracks in total.
F-1 Trillion also includes songs with Tim McGraw, Sierra Ferrell, Hank Williams Jr., Chris Stapleton, and Luke Combs, to name a few.
The album’s release comes just two days after Post Malone made his Grand Ole Opry debut. He played a few of his new songs but also joined some famous friends for some throwback covers.
One of those famous friends was John Michael Montgomery. He joined Post on the Opry stage to sing his #1 hit from 1994, “Be My Baby Tonight.”
Lainey Wilson & Brad Paisley Co-Wrote Post Malone’s Duet With Dolly Parton
In addition to singing with some superstar artists on F-1 Trillion, Post Malone also wrote songs with them. For example, track #5, a flirtatious song called “Have the Heart,” was written with a talented list of names.
Post co-wrote “Have the Heart” with Louis Bell, Ryan Vojtesak, Lainey Wilson, Brad Paisley, and Ashley Gorley. Brad and Lainey also sang with Post on F-1 Trillion, on songs titled “Nosedive” and “Goes Without Saying.”
Lainey told Audacy‘s Scotty Kay what it was like writing music with Post:
“The first time I really got to spend time with him is when we wrote. We wrote through the night — probably 12-13 hours… We ended up writing several songs that night and one of the songs on the record that him and Dolly Parton do together [“Have the Heart”] is one that we wrote that night.“
At that time, even Lainey hadn’t listened to the finished duet between Post Malone and Dolly Parton.

Thankfully, Lainey doesn’t have to wait any longer because “Have the Heart” is now available for everyone to enjoy.
The playful duet features Dolly and Post Malone as a couple with an on-and-off dynamic. While they discuss breaking up, they always find themselves drawn back to each other. They justify their actions by saying they don’t “have the heart” to break the other person’s heart in two.

The couple eventually throws caution to the wind, saying, “Oh, what the h—‘s one more night gonna hurt?” The song ends with them repeating how they “just can’t” find the strength to break each other’s hearts.
