Jayne, 67, and Chris, 66, who officially retired from competitive skating in 1998, shared their excitement in a statement to the Mirror:

“We’re thrilled that our farewell journey will be documented by ITV. The programme will capture both the emotional and joyful moments as we rehearse and perform for the last time. Having a film crew with us throughout makes this goodbye all the more special.”
They added:
“ITV has been our television home for over 20 years, and it feels right that we conclude our story there. We hope fans enjoy this last chance to see us skate together.”

Produced by FilmNova, the documentary is being overseen by executive producer Lucy Cutler, who praised the access granted by the pair.

“Jayne and Chris have opened up their world to us—recreating their most memorable routines alongside a team of elite skaters,” Cutler explained. “Their pursuit of perfection is legendary, and this film will shine a light on the immense dedication it takes to stay at the top—even 50 years on.”

ITV’s head of entertainment, Katie Rawcliffe, described the documentary as a “fitting tribute” to two of the UK’s most celebrated athletes.

“We’re honoured to continue our relationship with Torvill and Dean as they mark the end of an extraordinary chapter. Their story, both on and off the ice, is an inspiration, and this documentary will be a final gift to fans across the country.”
