Robert Irwin has gained a massive fanbase since joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars — and the rest of his famous family may reap the benefits soon enough.

“Hollywood is going absolutely gaga for the Irwins right now. Robert is getting so much attention on DWTS, and that’s created this surge of interest in everything to do with the family,” a source tells Star. “Everyone is saying they’d be perfect for a reality show.”

Between the Australia Zoo — which family matriarch Terri Irwin, 61, owns and operates alongside Robert, 21, and daughter Bindi, 27 — and Robert’s newfound fame in Tinseltown, “there’d be so much content,” says the source.

While the Bindi the Jungle Girl alum is already a star in her own right, especially after having won season 21 of DWTS with partner Derek Hough, the source notes that she’s never been fully invested in a Hollywood career.

“Her biggest priority is being a mom, and she’s also got the zoo and her commitment to her late dad Steve’s legacy,” the source says of Bindi, who shares daughter Grace, 4, with husband Chandler Powell. “But with Robert now in the spotlight there’s real potential that they could do something together, along with their mom Terri.”

However, there would need to be some rules in place for the Irwins — who previously brought cameras along during Crikey! It’s the Irwins — to fully commit.

“It would have to be classy, they’re not going to want to jeopardize their family name,” notes the source. “But that’s not something executives are closed off to.”

“The feeling is that they’ll give in to whatever the Irwins want,” adds the source, “because this family is a potential gold mine.”
