Dylan Dreyer is opening up about a shift in her personal life.

The Today cohost and her husband Brian Fichera have separated after 12 years of marriage, she shared in a July 18 Instagram post.

“For many years I have shared my family with you all–the highs and the lows. The ups and downs. And all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between,” Dylan wrote in her statement posted to social media, “I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me throughout it all.”

She continued, “For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate. We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends.”

But despite the change, she and Brian—an NBC News producer and cameraman—will always prioritize kids  Calvin, 8, Oliver, 5, and Russell, 3.

“Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another,” the meteorologist added, “Thank you as always for your support.”

Prior to their split, amid their busy careers, the pair—who met while working at a Boston news station in 2012— made sure to teed up quality time on the course.

“Golf is the thing we do together,” Dylan—she shared photos of them just days ago at a golf tournament—told Today.com in 2023. “We have a couple of drinks, we laugh. We remember why we fell in love. Then we go home and it’s right back to family.”

Communication was also key for Dylan, 43, and Brian, 38.

“My family can hold a grudge,” she explained. “If something is bothering us, we’re like, ‘I’ll talk to you later,’ and then we never address why we were upset in the first place. Brian won’t even let me be mad for 10 minutes. He’s like,’ Please just talk to me about you’re upset so we can go back to having fun.’”

And that’s exactly what they did.

“Our schedules mean we don’t see each other much, but we text all the time,” she previously told the outlet. “Sometimes it’s even easier to have an important or deep conversation via text because we get all our thoughts out without being interrupted.”

Family time was also an essential—and still is.

“These boys are my whole life and Brian and I, we love being a team on weekends and spending as much time as we can with them and having as much fun as we can,” Dylan said 2023 when she stepped back from Weekend Today. “That’s really all I’m going to be doing, just sitting at home and just loving up on those three.”

“It’s all about family time,” she added. “This job can get crazy especially when we’re traveling and we’re busy, but it’s so important to make time for family, too.”
