Kelly Ripa—who shares three kids with husband Mark Consuleos—revealed daughter Lola Consuelos’s relationship with Cassius Kidston has brought their families “very close” together.

Kelly Ripa has given Lola Consuelos’ relationship her stamp of approval.

As the LIVE with Kelly and Mark host recently revealed, Lola and Cassius Kidston‘s romance has even bonded their families.

“I love him,” Kelly—mom to Lola, 24, Michael, 28, and Joaquin, 22, with Mark Consuelos—said on the June 25 episode of her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast. “I love his family, we are very close.”

Kelly also told Lola, who joined her for the episode, “His mother and I have a lot of conversations about you two.”

While Lola has kept much of her relationship with Cassius private, she offered rare insight into their years-long romance.

“We met on vacation,” Lola shared on the podcast. “But we did not like each other when we first met each other.”

“I say this to everyone that I meet,” she added. “That I think the reason we don’t find ourselves truly arguing that much is because we kind of got it all out of our systems when we first met each other.”

Lola revealed that she and Cassius—who is a native of Switzerland—vacationed with their families on the same island growing up. However, it wasn’t until they were introduced by mutual friends during their time at NYU that they formally connected. According to Lola, the invisible string theory—which suggests soulmates are connected by an invisible, unbreakable bond—plays a big part in their connection.

“We had just so many weird, intertwined things and people and all this stuff,” Lola said. “Now we’re almost dating for four years, which is insane.”

“And now our parents all travel together,” Lola said. “My mom and dad were able to travel to where he grew up last summer and see his home, meet his family.”

A topic of conversation was Lola’s decision to relocate from New York City to London. When asked what influenced her decision to move, the “Divine Timing” singer hinted that Cassius may have had a little to do with it.

“Of course there’s someone in London,” she revealed when asked about her recent move. “There is someone very special in London.”

And while their living arrangements and bond as closer than before, Lola admitted that she and Cassius aren’t rushing to take their relationship to the next level.

“I think with my boyfriend and I we’re so present with each other so of course, and we always say we would never date to break up,” she said. “So, I 1,000 percent see future.”

In April, Lola gave the world a brief look at the “magic” of her relationship as she marked her and Cassius’ anniversary.

“Another year of pure magic,” she wrote alongside a series of pictures on Instagram highlighting their romance. “you’re heavenly.”

Kelly took a few days off in March 2022 to watch the Wolverines compete in the Division 1 Wrestling Championships in Detroit.

Still a freshman, Joaquin didn’t wrestle this time, but still, Kelly said on Live upon her return, “It took years off my life watching these young men.”

Generational Health

The whole family finally made it to Greece and Italy in June 2021 after the pandemic had other plans in 2020.

“Last year’s graduation trip for our oldest son and niece was delayed long enough to become a graduation trip for the family newborns as well,” Kelly shared.

I hope you have the greatest day ever. You’re a badass and an inspiration to everyone. Also, when I call you a T. Rex, I mean it as a compliment. You should know that by now.”

History Repeating

In August 2020, Kelly Ripa shared an epic recreation of an old family photo from 2003 on Instagram. With youngest son Joaquin on her lap and older kids Michael and Lola perfectly in place, we’d say they nailed it despite the fact that, as Kelly noted, “objects may appear larger.”
