Kidada Jones Reportedly “Disgusted” by Jada Pinkett Smith’s Lies: The True Story of Tupac’s Real Relationship
As Jada Pinkett Smith continues to dominate headlines with her shocking revelations about her relationship with Tupac Shakur in her new memoir, “Worthy,” and various media interviews, Kidada Jones, the woman Tupac was actually engaged to, is reportedly furious. Sources close to Kidada claim she finds Jada’s comments “distasteful” and believes she is “totally misrepresenting” her relationship with the late hip-hop icon to gain a new wave of public attention. This unfolding story not only sheds new light on Tupac’s life but also highlights the stark contrast between a genuine, respectful silence and a relentless pursuit of the spotlight.
Jada Pinkett Smith: A New Memoir, the Same Old Story
Jada Pinkett Smith has once again placed herself at the center of a media firestorm while promoting her memoir. However, instead of garnering support, her recent statements are causing a major backlash. Following the infamous Oscar slap incident involving her husband, Will Smith, Jada has once again dragged Tupac into her personal drama, revealing intimate details that, as one social media user put it, “nobody asked to know about”. This has sparked a furious reaction from the online community.
In recent weeks, Jada has made headlines by claiming Tupac proposed to her, that he suffered from alopecia, and that he was her “soulmate”. Specifically, she claims Tupac proposed while he was imprisoned at Rikers Island, believing he needed “somebody to do time with him”. She stressed that because of their friendship and shared history, Tupac wanted to “solidify” that foundation.
However, these claims have been swiftly dismantled by Tupac’s fans and those who were close to him, who point out that her timeline of events simply doesn’t add up.
The Cold Truth About Jada and Tupac’s Relationship
While it’s undeniable that Jada and Tupac were very close friends in high school, Jada herself has always maintained that there was no “romantic chemistry” between them. She even told Howard Stern that she once kissed Tupac to see if there was any attraction, only to describe it as the “most disgusting kiss” for both of them.
More importantly, their friendship had soured long before Tupac’s death. The two had stopped seeing eye-to-eye, with Tupac believing Jada had become too “Hollywood” and Jada trying to convince him to leave his street lifestyle behind. The fact is, they had not spoken for a full year prior to his murder in September 1996. This directly contradicts the image Jada is attempting to create of herself as the primary woman in his life at the time.
The Proposal Claim Debunked
Jada’s story about Tupac’s marriage proposal at Rikers was quickly debunked by a fan on TikTok, who pointed out that the timeline simply doesn’t add up. Tupac was only at Rikers for three weeks before being transferred to the Clinton Correctional Facility in March 1995.
Before he went to Rikers, Tupac had already proposed to his then-girlfriend, Keisha Morris. They went on to get married in a civil ceremony at the Clinton Correctional Facility in April 1995, with Keisha’s mother and Tupac’s cousin as witnesses. Keisha even moved closer to the prison to visit him almost daily and was entrusted with handling all of his business affairs with his lawyers and managers. Clearly, Keisha was the “rock” Tupac relied on during his incarceration, not Jada as she claims.
Kidada Jones: The Woman Tupac Really Loved
While his marriage to Keisha was annulled after he got out of prison, Tupac reconnected with Kidada Jones, whom he had a crush on before his prison sentence. After Tupac apologized to Kidada for a past insult he made about her father, they began dating shortly after his release. Tupac proposed to Kidada, and they bought a home together in Calabasas, California, where they lived until his death.
Kidada has always maintained a dignified silence about her relationship with Tupac, speaking about him only in her father’s biography, published in 2002. She wrote, “Tupac was the love of my life… He and I lived together for 4 months and then he was murdered in Las Vegas in 1996. It was the most horrible thing that ever happened to me”. Kidada was also at Tupac’s hospital bedside on the night he died, telling him, “Do you know I love you? Do you know we all love you?” She has never attempted to sell her story or reveal private details about Tupac since.
The Alopecia Revelation: A Line Crossed
Jada went a step further by revealing that Tupac suffered from alopecia, something she knew he didn’t want to discuss publicly. She claimed his hair loss started after he was beaten by police in Northern California. While Tupac’s hair loss after that attack was confirmed in the “Dear Mama” documentary, Jada’s decision to reveal such a personal and sensitive detail nearly 30 years after his death is widely considered “vile and disrespectful”. Fans have urged Jada to “let that man rest”.
Kidada and the Fan’s Reaction
Despite Kidada Jones’s private nature, sources close to her have confirmed that she finds Jada’s comments “distasteful” and believes she is “totally misrepresenting” her relationship with Tupac to “get clout and clean up her own image”. Fans have also come out in defense of Kidada and have strongly criticized Jada. One user wrote, “I can’t even begin to describe how disrespectful Jada is being towards Kidada with all this Tupac talk, his actual true love, the one he wanted to marry”. Another commented, “I genuinely feel bad for Tupac’s girlfriend, he died in a whole relationship while Jada pretends they had The Greatest Love of All. Meanwhile, the woman he was with says nothing and she was at his bedside when he died. It’s so weird”.
The revelations and reactions surrounding this story prove once again that Tupac Shakur’s legacy is still very much alive, and those who truly loved him, particularly Kidada Jones, are still fighting to protect the truth and the respect he deserves.
