Kelly Ripa had some exciting news to share with fans on a recent episode of LIVE with Kelly and Mark.
The talk show host declared, “Our newborn baby is graduating in two weeks!” revealing that she was talking about her and Mark Consuelos‘ youngest child Joaquin.
The couple’s young son is officially graduating from the University of Michigan, with Ripa saying their family was “not ready yet to leave Ann Arbor yet.” She claimed they “keep begging him to go to grad school,” before revealing her own desire to go to college.
Consuelos joked that once Joaquin graduates, “You can go to school, and he won’t be weirded out by his mom in class.” Ripa pondered the suggestion, wondering what she would study or if she could be an adjunct professor.
Back in 2021, when Ripa and Consuelos originally dropped their youngest off at college, the former admitted on their talk show, via People, “We dropped him off at school and we gave him a hug — it was actually brutally painful… It was really hard.”
Joaquin is the youngest of three children. Ripa and Consuelos also share a son named Michael and a daughter named Lola.
