Jenna Bush Hager’s husband, Henry Hager, is the king of boundaries.
The 43-year-old Today with Jenna & Friends co-host opened up about her husband’s reactions to personal stories being shared on her public platform.
“I think it’s in the same vein as when you’re writing,” Bush Hager said on the Wednesday, July 16 episode of her show when talking about sharing things about her three children. “You’re like, ‘Wait, whose story is this? Am I telling my story or is this posting because the kids are doing something really cute?’”
“And will it embarrass them someday? It might feel funny and cute now, but if it’s up forever, will you regret posting it?” guest co-host Willie Geist mused.

Bush Hager, who shares daughters Mila, 12, and Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5, with Hager, said her husband is the best at protecting their privacy.
“One of the great things about Henry is he always is thinking that way,” she said of Henry, whom she married in 2008. “He just believes we should have privacy as a family. So if I say something — maybe on this show — that gets pickup, he gets grumpy about it.”
However, Bush Hager appreciates her husband’s perspective, noting, “It helps me realize that I should be better for Mila, for Poppy and Hal.”

And while Hager might not be a fan of opening up on camera the way his wife does daily, he did show his love and support back in March when he co-hosted the morning show with her.
“Feeling super grateful for a husband who showed up for me (even though this isn’t his cup of tea!), laughed with me and SUPPORTS me whole heartedly!” Bush Hager wrote on Instagram at the time. “I love him – even after that lie detector test! ❤️❤️ and love my @jennaandfriends family!”
During Hager’s time on the show, his wife surprised him with a supportive video of their kids cheering him on.
“You managed to get our kids into the Today show,” he said after seeing the clip.
“Well, it’s your favorite thing, right?” Bush Hager jokingly asked her husband.
“Not really,” Hager admitted. “But that was so sweet.”
