Season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars” is about three months away, and whether or not Sharna Burgess will return to the ballroom remains a mystery, but she is ushering in her “soft girl era.”
The dancing pro took to Instagram on June 16, 2025, to share her latest hair transformation, taking her red hair to a lighter shade, a golden blonde. “We went from [fire] to golden hour,” Burgess wrote in the video caption.
‘DWTS’ Fans Love the New Look on Sharna Burgess
Sharna Burgess is known to be a bit of a chameleon when it comes to taking risks and changing up her look, making her new golden blonde color a subdued surprise.
“Thank you @kennedy_vandyke and @americanrebel26 for using your sorcery to somehow get this girl from bright red to this with keep all my hairs on my head and healthy as ever. I love and appreciate you both,” she posted, adding, “Still a red head, I’m just… in my soft girl era.”
Fans then flooded the comments section to praise Burgess’ new look.
“Omg babe [this] is so bomb color is insane,” one person said, while another chimed in with, “Wow, you look fantastic. Love that colour for you.” “Stunning on you,” added a third commenter.
Sharna Burgess Hopes to Return to the Ballroom Soon
In an interview with Parade from May 2025, Burgess said that she was hopeful for a Season 34 return to “Dancing With the Stars.”
“I would love to be in some capacity. I would really, really enjoy that,” she says. “I judge Dancing with the Stars in Australia. I really love that role, too. If they’re doing guest spots for it, that would be phenomenal. I’d love to jump in. I really want to always continue my relationship with the show. I adore them. They are my family, as you can see. So whether it’s me sitting in the audience or in some other way, I will for sure be there.”
As for whether she’d rather be behind the judges’ table than on the stage, Burgess couldn’t decide.
“It’s like picking a favorite child,” she explains. “They’re completely different experiences, but I truly am in love with the judging experience, and I love what I can bring to the table as having the experience on the other side, so who knows. But as I said, they are my family, and I’ll be involved in some way.”
Burgess first made her debut as a pro during Season 16 in 2013, and last competed on the show during Season 30 with fiancé Brian Austin Green.
