The official story is neat, tidy, and closed. On September 10, 2025, conservative icon Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at a student event. Within 33 hours, a 22-year-old lone gunman, Tyler Robinson, was arrested. The case was closed. The narrative was set.
But now, that narrative is not just fracturing; it is being publicly detonated by two of the biggest voices in media. Joe Rogan and Candace Owens have both stepped forward, armed with receipts, sources, and a healthy dose of common sense, to declare that the official story is, in Rogan’s blunt assessment, “horseshit.”

What they’ve uncovered points to a story far darker than a random act of violence. It’s a story of chilling premonitions, a massive financial conspiracy, a professional military-style operation, and a widow who seems disturbingly at ease.
The most terrifying piece of this puzzle comes from Candace Owens. In an explosive revelation, she stated that Charlie Kirk knew he was a marked man. This was not a surprise attack.
“The very day before Charlie Kirk died, he expressed that he thought he was going to be killed,” Owens revealed, citing off-the-record conversations. “He told these people, ‘I think they’re going to kill me.’”
This wasn’t a vague fear. Owens claims she has spoken to three separate people who received this warning from Kirk just 24 hours before his death. Two of them, she alleges, have this warning in “written communication.” This one fact fundamentally changes everything. It obliterates the “lone gunman” theory and replaces it with a premeditated, planned execution by a “they” Charlie himself was aware of.
So, who is “they”?
Owens provides a devastating potential motive. “Just one week before Charlie Kirk died, he announced a massive internal audit at Turning Point USA,” the transcript states. “He said millions of dollars were missing… millions… and he was going to find out where it went and who was responsible.”
One week later, he was dead. And the audit? Forgotten.
This allegation of internal betrayal and a massive financial cover-up is the poison running beneath the entire official story. It explains the “why.” But it’s Joe Rogan who has begun to publicly dismantle the “how.”
Rogan, host of the world’s largest podcast, took one look at the official weapons report and laughed it out of the room. The authorities claim Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect, used his grandfather’s World War I rifle—an antique, over 100 years old, with no serial number. But it’s not the gun that’s the problem; it’s the logistics.
“They said that he took it apart and then put it back together again,” Rogan scoffed. “Shut the… up! Do you know how much time it would take to do that if you were highly skilled? To disassemble a rifle so that you can get it in a backpack… and by the way, not going to fit!”
Rogan is correct. WWI-era rifles are massive, heavy, wooden and steel beams. The idea that a 22-year-old with no reported military training could break one down, stuff it in a standard backpack, climb a roof, and then perfectly reassemble it for a kill shot is, as Rogan put it, “insane.”
“This story is horseshit,” he concluded. “None of these things make any sense to me.”
The absurdity doesn’t stop with the weapon. Rogan also highlighted the presence of a professional “decoy,” a figure on the scene designed to create chaos and confusion. Immediately after the shot, an older man began “yelling out… ‘I did it! I did it!’” and, bizarrely, “took his pants down.”

While this could be dismissed as a random act of insanity, Rogan pointed to the man’s unbelievable resume. “This guy… was at 9/11. He was at the Boston bombings. He called in a fake bomb at another place.”
What are the odds, Rogan asked, that one man “would be at all those different events”? The odds are “zero.” This figure, whom Rogan calls “professionally insane,” appears to be a plant, a tool used in sophisticated operations to muddy the waters. And just as quickly as he appeared, he was gone. He was reportedly arrested on “child porn charges right away,” conveniently silencing him and making him unavailable for any interviews about what really happened.
If the weapon is a lie and the scene was tainted by a professional decoy, what about the shooter himself? Candace Owens’s investigation casts serious doubt on Tyler Robinson’s guilt.
The media pushed a narrative of a “good dad” who, realizing his son’s guilt, turned him in. According to Owens’s sources close to the family, this is a fabrication. “His father does not believe—his parents don’t believe—that their son committed this crime,” she stated.
The “turn in” was allegedly orchestrated by a family friend, a former police detective, who informed the family Tyler was the suspect and that he should surrender peacefully “or else the SWAT team would come get him.” According to the source, Tyler was “confused” and “denied killing Charlie Kirk.”
The most significant hole in the story: Tyler Robinson allegedly “has never even stepped foot on the UVU campus.” He was a student at Utah State University, not Utah Valley. How could a man who had never been to the campus know its rooftop layouts well enough to “climb across roofs and take a perfect shot”?
The official story doesn’t explain it. But Candace Owens has another detail that might. “On the day Charlie Kirk was killed, a military plane flew from Texas to Utah… tail number N1098L,” she revealed. This plane “dipped really low” over the area at the exact time of the assassination. This, she argues, is evidence of a “military operation.”
This brings the focus back to the organization Charlie Kirk founded, and the woman who now controls it: his widow, Erika Kirk.
While the transcript doesn’t feature Rogan or Owens speaking on Erika, it highlights that Nick Fuentes verbalized what “a lot of people are thinking.” Erika Kirk “took control of Turning Point USA just 72 hours after Charlie died.” Three days.
While everyone grieves differently, her behavior has been called “super inappropriate,” “weird,” and “bizarre.” She was “filming content, she was doing shows, she was smiling.”
“It’s one thing if your 31-year-old husband unexpectedly dies,” Fuentes is quoted as saying. “It’s another thing if your 31-year-old husband unexpectedly dies because he gets publicly executed with blood gushing out in front of thousands of people screaming…”
Her ability to step into her husband’s shoes—the same husband who was about to launch an audit for millions of missing dollars—has become the central, uncomfortable focus of a public that smells a rat.
Joe Rogan offered a chilling summary of the entire affair. “If you want people to lose all faith that anyone is going to solve anything, you add a bunch of wacky shit that doesn’t make any sense and you spam it out there at the same time.”
The WWI rifle, the decoy from 9/11, the patsy who’d never been to the campus—it’s all “wacky shit.” It’s a smokescreen. But Candace Owens and Joe Rogan are refusing to be blinded. They are asking the real questions. Why are the people closest to Charlie—the ones who worked with him every day—so silent?
The truth, as Owens believes, is “inevitable.” But it won’t come from the official story. It will come from the people brave enough to tear it apart.
