The Giudice school drama has once again caused a stir when Gia Giudice, the eldest daughter of Teresa Giudice, was accused of being involved in an organized academic essay ghostwriting scheme. What’s even more shocking is that the service is allegedly secretly run by a distant relative of Gia’s stepfather, Luis Ruelas.
A source from Rutgers University confirmed that an internal investigation was opened after the school board received an anonymous complaint that a group of students, including Gia Giudice, had used a professional ghostwriting service to complete important papers last semester.
The source said that the service was not a sporadic ghostwriting service but operated as a real company with a Venmo PayPal payment system and fake accounts. After further investigation, a name unexpectedly appeared on the list of accounts receiving money, which was an LLC company registered by a distant relative of Luis Ruelas’ family.
According to the initial investigation At least six students in the School of Social Sciences and Communication have admitted to using the service in the past two years. School authorities have requested that all of the essays in question be compared with actual writing samples of students, and that IP addresses and internal system login histories be checked.
Sophomore Communication student Gia Giudice was placed under special supervision after one of her essays was allegedly copied verbatim from a paid reference material with 96 percent of the same wording. Notably, her handwriting samples on practice tests were significantly different from the electronic essays submitted to her instructors.
Gia Giudice and her family have yet to make any official response, but that hasn’t stopped the wave of criticism that’s been exploding on social media. The Bravo community immediately dug up Teresa’s old statements on Real Housewives of New Jersey where she once said I’d do anything to get my kids into good colleges, including hiring a tutor twenty-four out of seven. One quote today called a suspicious prophecy by netizens
What makes the case even more serious is the direct connection to relatives of Luis Ruelas, who was involved in allegations of shady business practices in 2022. The company behind the ghostwriting service was founded in New Jersey using an address that was registered with an online marketing company that Luis was involved with
This has led many to question whether this ghostwriting system is part of an underground business that aims to profit from college students through the reputation and connections of the Giudice Ruelas family
A source from Rutgers’ disciplinary board said that Gia could be suspended for a semester or forced to leave depending on the severity of the violation if proven to have used the ghostwriting service. The university is known to be strict about academic cheating, especially when it comes to illegal organization activities
