What was meant to be a joyful celebration of Bindi Irwin’s 27th birthday turned into an unforgettable night of laughter, candles, and crocodile chaos — all thanks to one rebellious reptile.

According to eyewitnesses at the Australia Zoo, the lights suddenly went out during the early evening of Bindi’s intimate birthday gathering. Guests were initially startled, but it didn’t take long for the true culprit to be revealed: Dundee, a 52-year-old saltwater crocodile, had reportedly rammed into an outdoor utility panel during his evening swim.

Rather than panic, Bindi Irwin embraced the moment with her signature positivity. “Let’s turn this into an adventure,” she laughed, asking staff to bring out torches and candles. Within minutes, the celebration transformed into a magical, candlelit jungle party.

Guests sipped native fruit punch under the stars, while wildlife sounds filled the air. One particularly cheeky monkey named Coco even stole the microphone and let out a perfectly timed screech as everyone sang “Happy Birthday.”

In a heartfelt moment, Bindi told the crowd, “I think Dad would’ve loved this — wild, unexpected, and full of love.”

The evening continued with acoustic music by the fire, croc-safe cake for the staff, and laughter echoing into the night. While the zoo’s electricians worked to restore power, no one seemed to mind. In fact, some guests said it was the “most Irwin-style birthday ever.”
