Bubba Dubb, the comedian known for his candid and humorous takes on social issues, has found himself at the center of controversy following comments about political commentator Charlie Kirk. In a recent livestream, Dubb addressed the backlash he has faced, claiming to have received numerous death threats as a result of his remarks. āYāall took what I said today the wrong way,ā he stated, emphasizing that his intentions were misinterpreted and that he is not apologizing for his comments.
During the livestream, Dubb expressed frustration over the miscommunication, stating that he has a diverse group of friends, including many white individuals, and that he does not harbor any racist sentiments. āIām not a racist. Iām a realist and Iām a comedian,ā he asserted, adding that he has been unfairly portrayed as someone who dislikes white people. Dubbās comments were intended to highlight what he described as āwhite on white crime,ā urging his audience to understand that he was not involved in the situation and that it should not reflect on the Black community.
The comedian revealed that the backlash has impacted him personally and professionally, leading to a loss of approximately 600 followers, which he described as financially detrimental. He appealed to his followers for support, asking them to subscribe to his YouTube channel and contribute financially to help alleviate the stress caused by the threats he has received. āIām stressed out, yāall. My dog was scared today,ā he shared, noting the toll these events have taken on his mental well-being and that of his pet.
In an emotional plea, Dubb recounted how friends have reached out to him in concern, expressing disbelief at how quickly some have turned against him. He reiterated that he does not support violence and was simply commenting on a situation that he felt was being mischaracterized. āI hate what happened to Charlie Kirk, and I donāt believe in violence,ā he stated, reinforcing his stance on the matter.
As Dubb prepares for his upcoming shows, he expressed hope that his loyal fans will rally behind him. āMy next show is in Atlanta, Georgia. At least yāall could do and make sure my soul sell out for the rest of the year,ā he urged, hoping to regain the support he feels he has lost. He concluded the livestream by vowing to remain true to himself and his comedic roots, stating, āIām forever be me. Iām forever stand for my people, but Iām always going to stand for whatās right.ā
Despite the challenges he faces, Dubb remains determined to use his platform for positive change and to connect with his audience. He plans to continue addressing the situation in future livestreams, inviting his followers to join him as he navigates this difficult period.
