Robi Domingo’s grandmother passes away on his wedding day
Robi’s parents kept the sad news about his grandmom until the wedding was over.

Magkahalong saya at lungkot ang nararamdaman ngayon ng Kapamilya TV host na si Robi Domingo.
Noong January 6, 2024, Sabado, ay ikinasal na siya sa kanyang long-time girlfriend na si Maiqui Pineda sa Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador, sa Brgy. Poblacion, Pulilan, Bulacan.
Pero lingid sa kaalaman ni Robi, noong umagang iyon ay pumanaw rin ang kanyang pinakamamahal na lola.
Sa X (dating Twitter) nitong Martes, January 9, ibinahagi ni Robi kung paano niya nalaman ang pagpanaw ng kanyang lola, na tinatawag niyang “Ina.”
Itinago raw ito ng kanyang pamilya para hindi mabahiran ng lungkot ang dapat ay masaya niyang kasal kay Maiqui.
Matapos ang seremonya, doon lang daw pinagtapat ng ina ni Robi na wala na ang kanyang lola.
Kalakip ang isang throwback photo kasama ang kanyang lola at isang larawan nila ni Maiqui habang sila’y nasa burol, ito ang mensahe ni Robi (published as is): “Bittersweet.
“January 6 was the happiest day of my life. My heart was filled with immense gratitude -from preps in the morning, to the ceremony, to the reception which lasted until dawn.
“As I was about to leave the place, my mom was sobbing as she tried to tell me that my Lola passed away that same morning.
“Apparently, my family didn’t tell us so that our focus was our magical day.”
Kasabay ng pagdadalamhati, buong-pusong nagpasalamat si Robi sa kanyang “Ina” sa pagmamahal at pag-aalaga raw nito noong bata pa siya.
Hiling din ng Kapamilya TV host, kung saan man naroroon ngayon ang kanyang lola ay maligaya na ito kasama ang namayapa na rin niyang lolo.
Ani Robi, “”Ina”, as I fondly called her, took care of me especially when I was a toddler.
“I loved how she made her ube halaya and Leche flan sa llanera.
“Rest in peace, ina. Please look after us together with ama.
“Thank you, and we love you.”
Sa huli, nagpasalamat si Robi sa lahat ng nagpaabot ng pagbati sa kasal nila ni Maiqui.
Mensahe niya, “We wanted to thank a lot of people during the wedding but it has been a rollercoaster ride for us these past few days.
“Our hearts are happy, but we apologize for the delay. We’ll just take a breather from all the happenings.”
