Carley Shimkus, co-host of FOX & Friends First, and her husband Peter Buchignani have joyfully announced the arrival of their son.

On Friday, Shimkus, 36, shared the delightful news on social media, introducing their baby boy, Brock Edward.

Brock Edward was born on Monday, as reported by Fox News.

Since 2021, Carley Shimkus has served as a co-anchor on Fox & Friends First. In her Instagram post, she expressed her happiness, stating, “Welcome to the world, sweet Brock,” alongside a photo of herself with her newborn.

“You have unlocked a place in our hearts we didn’t even know existed. Your dad and I love you dearly!” The announcement was also made by F&F First anchors Todd Prio and Ashley Strohmier during their Shot Of The Morning segment at the conclusion of Friday’s broadcast.

“Fox and Friends family can officially confirm that we’ve grown a little larger, as we take on the responsibility of raising Carley’s child,” Prio remarked.

“We are excited to share that Carley Shimkus is now a proud mother to a healthy baby boy.”

Strohmier enthusiastically revealed the baby’s name, Brock Edward, noting that he was born on Monday, weighing 7 pounds and 1 ounce. “Look how perfect he is,” she added.

Shimkus first announced her pregnancy live on Fox & Friends First last August.

“My announcement is that I’m pregnant!” she exclaimed at that time, with a banner on the screen reading: CARLEY IS PREGNANT! “I’m going to be a mom! I’m thrilled about this. I can’t wait to see my husband, Pete, with the baby. He’s going to be an amazing dad!… There will be many changes, but all of them are positive,” she continued.

Shimkus took over from Jillian Mele on Fox & Friends First in 2021 after Mele left to pursue an MBA at La Salle University in Philadelphia.

Before this, the new mother worked as a producer for Fox Business Network and has also co-hosted for Fox Nation, having joined the network in 2009.

Businessman Buchignani has been married to Shimkus.Shimkus and Buchignani first crossed paths in 2011 during Shimkus’ 23rd birthday celebration, as stated on the website.

However, their romantic relationship is said to have started two years afterward.

Although Buchignani tends to stay away from public attention, his wife frequently shares images of them together on Instagram.
