Selena Gomez’s fans ‘can’t wait’ as she makes huge career announcement

Selena Gomez’s fans have said they “can’t wait” as she made a huge career announcement on social media this week.
The 33-year-old actress and singer revealed that Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building will premiere on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on September 9.
She shared a video from Hulu in which she makes the announcement alongside her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.
She captioned the clip on Instagram, “Season 5 of #OnlyMurders returns September 9 on @hulu and with #HuluOnDisneyPlus. See you then!”
Fans took to the comment section to share their excitement, with one writing, “Can’t wait.” Another said, “I’ve already marked the date on every calendar I own!”
“The trio is SO back,” the official Instagram account of Hulu wrote. The same video was also shared on X by the official Only Murders in the Building account – and a fan wrote, “Need the trailer asap !!!” to which account replied, “One thing at a time!”
A fan said, “ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!! thank you for the best present ever.”
Someone else added, “Can’t wait-last season was wild especially the finale!!
One more wrote, “Finally my comfort show is back. I’m gonna rewatch season 1-4 while waiting for season 5!”
And another fan said, “Planning an outdoor cinema party next to my garden fountain for the season premiere!!!!”
In the star-studded series, Steve portrays Charles, while Martin plays the role of Oliver and Selena’s role is Mabel. Meryl Streep will also reprise her role as Loretta in Season 5.
Only Murders in the Building has been an Emmy hit for two seasons running – with Selena receiving her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series.
In February this year, the cast won a SAG Award for Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
The official synopsis of Season 5, from Hulu, reads, “After their beloved doorman, Lester, dies under suspicious circumstances, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe it was an accident.
“Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond – where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia.
“The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them – one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.”
