Ryan Seacrest beams with happiness in NYC… two weeks ahead of his departure from Live With Kelly and Ryan after six seasons

Ryan Seacrest beamed with joy as he stepped out in New York City after taping an episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan, with the cast of American Idol, on Monday.

Just two weeks ahead of his departure from ABC’s hit daytime talk show, the Emmy winner, 48, appeared in high spirits on a leisurely stroll in a beige suit, charcoal grey button-down and plaid scarf.

After reuniting with Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, the media personality and producer shared a slideshow of photos from the segment, which he cohosted with actress Ali Wentworth.

‘The @AmericanIdol tour continues…Thanks to @therealaliwentworth for co-hosting!’ he captioned the post, which received more than 4,384 likes in six hours.

In the first image, he can be seen standing next to Richie, 73, the 38-year-old Firework singer, who held onto a large trophy, Bryan, 46 and Wentworth, 58.

The group had just played a lively game of ‘Insta clue game,’ which seemed to bring out Perry’s competitive side as she hilariously collapsed onto her knees at one point.

For her appearance, the mother-of-one wore a yellow cropped jacket, white tank top and light-wash jeans.

Under Seacrest’s slideshow, Richie commented: ‘For the record my button was broken.’

The episode comes as Seacrest nears the end of his time on Live With Kelly And Ryan.

Earlier this month, he told E! News that he would ‘miss being next to Kelly every single day.’

‘We’re extremely close, we’re very good friends, we’ll remain good friends,’ he said. ‘But there’s that hour of communicating with somebody. You become super excited about doing it. You laugh, and then, of course, you can’t remember what you said to each other. So I’ll miss that part.’

The longtime television host hasn’t announced a departure date, but he is expected to finish up his run on the show in the spring of this year.

Seacrest is currently hosting American Idol, which takes place in Los Angeles, while  Kelly and Ryan tapes in Manhattan.

‘I’m gonna be back in California a lot, I lived there for so many years,’ he added. ‘My life is there.’

He also made it clear that he wasn’t just going to miss his hosting partner, but also the group of people who helped keep Live With Kelly And Ryan afloat.

‘I’ll miss this team of people,’ he said. ‘We’ve gotten to know each other and become very, very close. It’s a unique environment here, where many people have been here a long time. They’ve raised their kids while being on this show.’

Seacrest also made it clear that he would make occasional appearances on the show, adding that the producers said they were ‘gonna have me back to fill in every now and then.’
