Love Island USA fans accuse Huda Mustafa of ‘lip syncing’ racial slur in resurfaced video but some followers defend her

Huda’s co-star Cierra Ortega exited the show after she was involved in a racism scandal

LOVE Island USA fans have accused Huda Mustafa of “lip syncing” a racial slur in a resurfaced video after her co-star Cierra Ortega exited the villa over a similar scandal.

Huda, 24, stars on Season 7 of Love Island USA, as she went from show villain to fan-favorite during her journey on the series.

Fans have been rooting for Huda’s coupling with professional basketball player Chris Seeley, but their connection on the show has been overshadowed by an apparent racism scandal.

In a resurfaced video from her TikTok account, Huda lip syncs along to Elijah the Boy’s Over You.

The lyrics go, “Thought about running back to you that’s something I don’t really see. I been going on a rampage f**king everything I see.

“Tell that n**** that you cheated with that, that n**** ain’t me.”

Fans were divided over if Huda actually says the racial slur while lip syncing.

One fan commented, “She literally didn’t say it, she just kept her mouth open, cuz if she probably closed it, it would have made her look like she said it.”

“She literally [just said] “that… ain’t me” she skipped over the word..?” a second wrote.

A third defended, “She didn’t say it.”

A fourth insisted, “Slow it down… she didn’t say it.”

But not all viewers came to Huda’s defense, as one claimed, “Okay yall I love her but… it’s obvious she said it yall cmon now.”

A second alleged, “The second time she said it!! I saw her tongue move.”

And a final fan asked, “So the dumped Cierra for a slur… what are they going to do with her?”

In other videos with the racial slur included, Huda could be seen clearly skipping over the word.

A rep for Huda did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

HUDA’S REDEMPTION ARCH

Huda went from villain to fan-favorite on the Peacock series.

Huda is an original cast member who coupled up with Jeremiah Brown in a whirlwind romance that turned toxic.

Viewers watched as Huda suffered multiple emotional breakdowns over the relationship, as they even urged her to be sent home.

Huda revealed her jealous side by arguing with Jeremiah and lashing out at bombshells for kissing him during show challenges.

The two have also fought over Jeremiah not planning romantic dates and not helping her cook pancakes after she slammed his breakfast as “undercooked” with “no protein.”

On the Sunday, June 15 episode, America chose Jeremiah to be recoupled with bombshell Iris Kendall.

In an emotional group vote, they sent home Charlie Georgiou, saving Taylor Williams and Huda.

Jeremiah did not console Huda after the recoupling, leaving her upset.

The next day, he went on a date with Iris, which was set up by the show.

When Jeremiah returned to the villa, Huda had a breakdown, and was dubbed “Hurricane Huda” by cast members and viewers.

Huda eavesdropped on his conversation with the men, where Jeremiah talked about wanting to “explore his connection” with Iris.

Huda exploded and cursed at Jeremiah, calling him a “b***h” and “p***y.”

At night, Jeremiah pulled Huda into the speakeasy room for a chat to apologize, but she ended their relationship.

When it was time for a recoupling and elimination, Jeremiah picked Iris, leaving Huda heartbroken.

The U.S. Sun previously reported producers almost pulled Huda off the show because of her behavior.

“Huda was close to being pulled from the show, but with help and some space, she chose to stay,” a source claimed to The U.S. Sun. “She’s doing better now—calmer, more thoughtful.

“She used to have no boundaries at all, but now she’s learning to protect herself emotionally. If she hadn’t, she wouldn’t still be here.”

In Casa Amor, fans saw a new side of Huda as she explored connections with the new bombshells.

She is now in a strong connection with Chris, who she met in Casa Amor.
