Jennifer Aniston reacts to her surprise ‘The Last of Us’ cameo after dinner date with Pedro Pascal
Welcome to the apocalypse, Jennifer Aniston.
The “Friends” alum, 56, made a surprise cameo during the Season 2 premiere of “The Last of Us” that aired April 13 — weeks after she sparked dating rumors with the show’s lead star, Pedro Pascal.
The episode featured a scene where Ellie (Bella Ramsey) discovers and flips through a 2003 People magazine issue with Aniston on the cover that read, “Best & Worst Dressed.”
Aniston shared a clip of the scene on her Instagram Stories Tuesday, and wrote, “Of all things to survive the apocalypse 🤣.” She also tagged the HBO show’s official account and added a ” “👀” emoji.
Sunday’s episode also featured a major character’s shocking death.
On March 22, Aniston and Pascal, 50, were spotted leaving the Tower Bar in the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood after a three-hour dinner date.
While the pair’s outing sparked romance rumors, a source later told Page Six, “There is no romance going on between Jennifer Aniston and Pedro Pascal. They respect each other as artists but it’s strictly platonic and they’re not dating.”
Similarly, a source told People that Aniston “likes [Pascal’s] energy and would love to work with him.”
Soon after, Pascal addressed his night out with Aniston at “The Last of Us” Season 2 red carpet premiere.
When an Access Hollywood reporter asked Pascal if he was “trying to convince” Aniston to join his show, he instead proposed that he could go on her Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show.”
“That wouldn’t be a terrible thing,” Pascal said, adding that he’d “do anything” for the “Murder Mystery” actress.
“She’s that person. She’s that person to everyone,” Pascal said about Aniston. “It’s just that really. I guess the best way that I could describe it is I remember… if you’re in a party setting and you make eye contact with Jen, she just knows exactly what’s going on with you and knows exactly how to make you feel.”
Pascal also told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet that he and Aniston “are very good friends” and described their date as “a fun martini dinner.”
On April 3, Aniston sent a sweet birthday message to Pascal on her Instagram Stories. She wrote about Pascal, “Can confirm — as nice as he seems,” adding, “Happy Birthday PP! 🥳🎈.”
Pascal and Aniston previously shared a sweet moment together on the 2024 Critics Choice Awards red carpet, where Pascal confirmed he’s down to appear in “The Morning Show.”
Joking about his potential role in the drama series, he said, “I sleep with everyone on the show. I’m in. All right, I’ll be waiting to hear from my agents.”
Pascal is notoriously private about his love life.
Aniston, meanwhile, was previously married to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.
