Hallmark Channel Fans Go Wild Over ‘Three Wisest Men’ Update
Filming of Hallmark Channel’s third movie in its hugely popular “Three Wise Men” trilogy is well underway in Vancouver. Want proof? Look no further than Hallmark fan-favorite and budding filmmaker Tyler Hynes, who plays one of the Brenner brothers alongside Andrew Walker and Paul Campbell.
On August 24, 2025, Hynes and his co-stars gave fans the update they’ve been craving by posting a slow-motion music video of their behind-the-scenes hijinks. Hynes’ short film begins with the trio of stars buried in a ball pit at the “Christmas Fun Zone” and hilariously ends with a shot of them, decked out in Christmas suits, sitting behind bars.
Hallmark fans swooned over the creative video, grateful for a glimpse of the fun atmosphere and the many cast members who’ve reunited for the highly anticipated movie, including Kimberley Sustad (who wrote the script with Campbell and Russell Hainline), Margaret Colin, Erin Karpluk, Nicole Major, Fiona Vroom, Matt Hamilton, Ali Liebert, Lochlyn Munro, and child actor Miles Marthaller.
Fans Think They’ve Spotted Easter Eggs That May Hint at Plot Twists in Upcoming Hallmark Channel Movie
With The Who’s “Teenage Wasteland” playing in the background, Hynes captioned the video, “We’re coming for your Christmas. 🧨🎄❤️🩹 THREE WISEST MEN” and added, “A lot of love from a lot of lovely people…all for you. 🤍”
He tagged his fellow castmates as well as some of the filmmakers working behind the scenes, like Hainline, director Terry Ingram (with whom they celebrated his huge milestone of making 50 Hallmark movies), and production partners Lighthouse Pictures and Gemma Martini.
Fans were quick to notice possible hints at the upcoming plot, including the men dressed in tuxes (a wedding, perhaps?) and Major’s character Sophie (Luke’s significant other in the second movie) looking very pregnant in a hospital gown.
Many admitted the update had whipped them into a frenzy, including one who wrote, “I’m irrationally excited about this 🔥❤️!”
“OMG…. Now I’m just going through withdrawals,” another fan wrote. “I love this introduction to WM3. Love seeing the DREAM TEAM in action. @tyler_hynes ,@awalkk35, @paulcampbellofficial , can’t ask for anything better than this❤️👏🎅”Tyler Hynes’ Hallmark Colleagues Commented on Clever Video, Too
Even Hynes’ Hallmark colleagues were pumped up by his video. Hamilton called it “hilarious.” Vroom declared it “So gooood.” Colin marveled, “How many brilliant things you do!!!!” And Sustad wrote, “At this point you own my Christmas 🔥”
Screenwriter Hainline adorably quipped, “can I nominate a reel for a Best Cinematography Academy Award”
Erin Cahill, who recently spent time with Hynes at San Diego Comic Con, also commented, “This is FANTASTIC 🙌❤️👏🔥”
Andrew Walker Says 3rd Movie is Likely Last in the Hallmark Channel Franchise
HallmarkHallmark Channel’s Kimberley Sustad, Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes, and Andrew Walker filming “Three Wiser Men and a Boy” in 2024.
Hallmark Channel surprised its fans on July 12 by announcing that its 2025 Countdown to Christmas programming would include a third movie about the beloved Brenner brothers.
After reading the script, Walker told EntertainmentNow, “I tell you what, people are in for a treat. Yeah, it’s gonna be a fun ride.”
But the actor did also said the movie will likely be the last in the franchise — at least for quite a while.
“This is a wrap-up movie,” he said. “So you’re going to see a lot of people that you’ve seen in the previous movies. I’d work with this group of people for the rest of my career, you know? But we can’t be selfish with what we want. I think what’s best for this story in particular — and the ‘Wise Men’ franchise has been really good to all of us — is that I think that sometimes if you overdo it, it loses its allure.”
He added, “We’re really happy to just get this third opportunity to do this, and to kind of, you know, tie it up with a bow and send it off and maybe create something fresh.”
