Pat Sajak returns as host for the Wheel of Fortune episode after Ryan Seacrest took over the role at the end of the first season.
Fans were so happy to see the iconic host back on the show
Returning for an episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, Pat made a comeback to the franchise after retiring earlier this year.
Back in June, Pat said goodbye to the wheel when he retired from his hosting duties on the popular show after nearly 40 years at the helm.
Ryan Seacrest took over from Pat in September, with the incoming host speaking out.
When Ryan was announced as the new host he said that he was “truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak”.
“Pat Sajak is such a legend. He makes it look so easy and smooth and seamless. He’s remarkable,” Ryan previously gushed.
On Monday night, fans were so happy to see Pat return to the iconic set of Wheel of Fortune, accompanied by longtime co-host Vanna White.
“CelebrityWheelOfFortune is back to celebrate the holiday season with some very special guests! Who will win? Find out tonight,” the official Instagram account for the gameshow said on Monday ahead of the airing.
“Great to see Pat back in action,” penned one fan at the time.
Another said, “Love Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Great seeing Pat also. Looking forward to solving the puzzles”.
And a third added, “Great to see Pat Return! Having fun!”
‘MY HEART IS WHOLE AGAIN’
Meanwhile, on X, formerly known as Twitter, fans reacted in real-time.
“Pat Sajak hosting celebrity wheel of fortune! My heart is whole again,” penned one person.
Another said, “Taking Pat Sajack being back on Wheel of Fortune and really holding space with that, and feeling power in that.”
“Great to see Pat Sajak on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, tonight,” said a third.
Pat was only back temporarily, with his comeback purely for the celebrity special of the iconic show.
The contestants that appeared on the show were all famous faces, with them all playing for various charities.
MONEY FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Chance the Rapper played for SocialWorks, legendary singer Dionne Warwick played for North Jersey Community Research Initiative, and Lil Jon played for Open Paths Counseling Center.
Chance ended up winning the game, with him taking home an eye-watering amount of money for his chosen charity.
The rapper won $139,300, with every dollar donated to SocialWorks.
SocialWorks is a non-profit organization that was founded in August 2016 by Chance himself, whose full name is Chancelor Bennett.
The non-profit organization raises money for social issues that affect Chicago’s youth, such as education, homelessness, mental health support, and more.
