Host Ariana Madix broke down in tears as she reflected on the tumultuous journey of Love Island USA season seven.

The past season of Love Island USA has been an emotional journey from start to finish for viewers at home, participating islanders, and the entire production crew behind it all. Ahead of the season finale, the 40-year-old host began to cry as she rehashed all of the dumpings this season, including the two islanders that were kicked off following racism scandals.

Sitting down during the newest episode of Aftersun, Ariana grew emotional as she dished on what it was like watching it all go down behind the seasons as a host. She shared, “You know, it’s been a really tough season for a lot of reasons. I think for them – the islanders that were eliminated, I think for me, I think there’s been a lot of stuff that’s just been crazy.”

She continued, “I just want them to know and any islander that has also left the villa at this point, I just want them all to know how much I genuinely really love and appreciate them for putting themselves out there.”

She jokingly added, “And for gassing me up when I come in there too. I always hope that I get to bring good news but I know sometimes I’m the glam reaper.”

During the last episode of Aftersun, the islanders also all shared personal messages sharing their love and appreciation for Ariana all season long.

During Amaya’s confessional, she said, “Miss Goddess, Barbie, walking sun, you were one of my biggest – well you are – one of my biggest inspirations. You’re why I have the standards that I do and why I always fix the crown on my head whenever I feel like it’s tilted. You are the definition of how a woman should carry herself and to never, never, never let anyone define who you are.”
