Jennifer Aniston donates $1 million for black people

Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston has donated 1 million USD (about 23 billion VND) to a charity fighting for the rights of people of color.

Jennifer Aniston raised money for the charity Color Of Change after the police killed black man George Floyd while other police officers did not react. George Floyd’s words “I can’t breathe” before his death caused outrage in the US, with many protests taking place in many places in the US.

Previously, actress Angelina Jolie donated $200,000 to the NAACP – Legal Defense Fund, America’s leading civil rights organization that fights for racial justice through litigation, advocacy and public education. The Weeknd donated $500,000 and Drake donated $100,000 to a bail fund to help Black Live Matter protesters arrested by police.

Jennifer Aniston has been active in charity work recently. She agreed to let her longtime friend, photographer Mark Seliger, auction off a nude photo of her taken in 1995. All proceeds will go to a charity that supports those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
