Madrid – A resident living near Plaza Mayor has caused a stir on social media after releasing a video that is said to show tennis player Carlos Alcaraz playing tennis… on his roof at 3am.

In the clip, which is less than a minute long, a man wearing a white hoodie, with movements that look very similar to Alcaraz, is continuously tossing the ball, smashing the ball, and… running around as if he were playing a Grand Slam match. The unusual thing is that he has no opponents – he is playing on both sides of the virtual court by himself.

The person who filmed the clip confirmed:

“I’m sure it’s Alcaraz. No one else has such a fast forehand in the middle of the night. Besides, who else would play tennis on the roof?”

The rumor quickly spread on Twitter with the hashtag #MidnightAlcaraz. Many fans humorously speculated that the Spanish tennis player might be practicing his “ghost technique” to cause a surprise at the upcoming Roland Garros.

However, there are also opinions that Alcaraz is showing signs of sports dreaming, or is simply filming a secret commercial for a sportswear brand.

Carlos Alcaraz has not yet made any comments. However, in an Instagram story posted that same night, he posted a picture of… a pizza and the caption: “Don’t believe everything you hear at 3am.”

Was Alcaraz really practicing football on the roof, or was it just a “creative” joke from the online community? Anyway, with his current form, he could probably win even when playing in his dreams.
