The Price Is Right host Drew Carey is looking considerably slimmer these days, and he seems to be much healthier overall than fans have ever seen him. Recently, an insider dished on some of his secrets that helped him completely overhaul his life. So, what did they have to say?
Drew Carey Struggled With Mental Health And Weight Issues For Quite Some Time
Longtime Drew Carey fans remember him from his days hosting the iconic improv show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? Before taking the helm at The Price Is Right, he even had his own sitcom, The Drew Carey Show. This ran for a total of nine seasons, from 1995 to 2004.
Throughout all of that time, Drew Carey was known for being heavyset. While it’s typical for a lot of leading men in comedy to be heavier, Drew Carey did not always want to fit that stereotype. After so many years in the public eye, it seems like he finally has a handle on his weight and his mental health in a big way.

Carey Turned Things Around From Rock Bottom
These days, Drew Carey is a lot slimmer when waltzing around the set of The Price Is Right. The popular game show is currently on a break, with the new season set to return in the fall.
However, just because he gets a break from his hosting duties, it does not mean that the 66-year-old is taking a break from the good lifestyle habits that have helped him achieve amazing results.
It turns out, Carey dropped more than 80 pounds by limiting carbs and sticking to a regular exercise routine. He has done so well that he even managed to reverse his type 2 diabetes.

What’s The Secret To The Price Is Right Host’s Success?
In addition to limiting carbs and sticking to a regular exercise routine, Carey stopped binging booze, and he cut back on bad habits overall, in multiple areas of his life. Whatever he is doing certainly seems to be working, too.
An insider recently told Closer that Drew Carey will occasionally allow himself to indulge in things like a cheeseburger and fries every once in a while, however, the key to Carey’s success seems to be that everything is now in moderation.
As an added benefit, this healthier lifestyle overhaul has helped Carey when it comes to his depression, too, which he has always been vocal about.
