Ryan Seacrest’s recent weight loss is said to be concerning his friends, who claim he’s “exhausted” from his busy schedule.

The 50-year-old is currently juggling hosting duties for ABC shows Wheel of Fortune and American Idol. He’s also gearing up for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest this New Year’s Eve.

In recent months, he has appeared to have slimmed down, and this has allegedly begun to alarm insiders. Meanwhile, Seacrest, who recently lost his father, Gary Lee Seacrest, credits his drastic weight loss to a Mediterranean-style diet and exercise, including strength training and Pilates.

According to a source, the star is doing well and is very happy and healthy. However, another source told RadarOnline.com a different story.

“But he doesn’t look healthy,” the insider said. “His clothes just hang on his frame. There’s a hollowness to his cheeks, and even his neck and shoulders look scrawny.”

An insider added, “He loves to tell people how much he eats and that he’s indulging in pasta and carbs, and that he’s absolutely fine, but no one is buying that.”

Some believe the weight loss is a result of taking on too many high-profile projects. “He’s been running himself ragged doing American Idol and Wheel of Fortune,” the source claimed.

“Then he has his weekday morning radio show and his weekly American Top 40 countdown program. He’s running on empty and seems exhausted all the time.”

Express US has reached out to Seacrest’s team for comment.

In late October, fans discussed Seacrest’s appearance on Wheel of Fortune, but it wasn’t his weight that caught their attention.

“What is up with Ryan’s face?” one viewer bluntly said in a Reddit thread, noting that the host’s “cheeks look unnaturally pronounced” lately.

“Bad cheek implants? May be just the camera angles?” the poster suggested.

Other fans weighed in, guessing everything from too much makeup or a sunburn to “fresh Botox” and fillers.

“Nothing moves above his nostrils,” one commenter pointed out, as another added, “It didn’t even look like Ryan when I saw him a few weeks ago on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. Very concerning.”

A third penned, “hope he’s OK!” A fourth chimed in, “I figured he was tired because he has 18 full time jobs, it seems.”

Yet another commented, “Whatever it is, it’s aging him.”

Seacrest recently shared exciting news about American Idol, but fans were too busy debating about the judges.

In a joint Instagram post with the singing competition show, Seacrest revealed the upcoming Season 24’s premiere date, writing, “Dreams come true at – IDOL U – and we’re about to meet the new class! #AmericanIdol starts Monday, Jan 26 on ABC and streams on Hulu!”

While many took to the post’s comments section to gush about the news, others couldn’t help but engage in a tense debate over judge Carrie Underwood, who will join Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan at the judges’ panel for the second year.
