Ryan Seacrest has put up with a lot since becoming the host of Wheel of Fortune, but he likely didn’t expect the most recent issue he came across while filming an episode of the show.

The 50-year-old has seen all sorts of contestants on the game show since taking over for Pat Sajak, and dealt with ones who knocked him down with enthusiastic embraces, others who shared their excitement in other ways, and even some who expressed disappointment over their losses.

However, the host who has had some concerns he is “running himself ragged” may have had a first on a recent episode, where a contestant who was also an amateur magician appeared to successfully swipe his watch right off his wrist.

The incident occurred during the bonus round, as contestant Curt Ostrow, from Deptford, New Jersey, attempted to increase the earnings he had made from regular gameplay, totaling $14,916.

In the early rounds, he revealed that he had previously been known for his card tricks, which he would perform at parties. However, while on the game show, he appeared to up his game with his newest trick.

After choosing the category of “Fun & Games” for his puzzle, he and Seacrest were seen on camera discussing his winnings-when the American Idol host realized his watch was missing.

Following his reminding the audience how much money Ostrow had made, he then looked down at his empty wrist and incredulously asked, “Where’s my watch?”

“Oop,” Ostrow replied, as he then pulled the timepiece out of his pocket.

Seacrest then snatched it from his hand to put it back on his wrist, adopting an unamused tone as he then asked Ostrow to introduce his guest to the audience.

After Ostrow introduced his wife of 44 years, Seacrest even remarked, “Wow, you’ve put up with a lot,” before admitting later on that Ostrow had been “fun” to get to know throughout the episode.

The game then continued, with Ostrow receiving the requisite R, S, T, L, N and E letters before choosing his own.

Ostrow opted to try the letters G, C, H and A.

The puzzle then read “_E_AL_NG A _N_C_CLE,” and as the timer counted down, Ostrow guessed “Dealing a….” but was unable to fully guess the puzzle before time ran out.

He then learned he lost out on a Toyota car as a prize, but Seacrest appeared to decide he had suffered enough.

He then gave him his watch, saying, “You can have this. It’s a Wheel of Fortune watch. Enjoy.”

Wheel of Fortune airs weeknights.
