During the latest episode of Wheel of Fortune, viewers raged at Ryan Seacrest after they believed the host ‘robbed’ and ‘screwed’ a contestant of $10,000.

Ryan Seacrest upset fans during the last episode of Wheel of Fortune for “robbing” a contestant of $10,000.

It’s been almost a year since the host joined the show, when he was dealt heavy criticism for his “awkward” on-air stage habits and major blunders.

Eventually the show’s followers claimed he finally “found his groove.” However, that belief seemed to be tossed away once they claimed he needed to “brush up on his skills” during the June 16 segment.

Monday’s episode consisted of three contestants: Todd Meyer, Sheree Corder and Latricia Randolph.

Sheree led the game at first with a prize fund of $6,000 but many fans believed Todd was a shoe-in to take the lead during a rare puzzle.

Within the category of Party, a puzzle appeared on the board, showing a crossword-like display with four words connected by one letter each. The contestants had to guess numerous letters until having the ability to solve.

Once it was Todd’s turn, he guessed all of the letters and even tried to solve the puzzle, saying, “Party Time, Party Animal, Party Decorations and Party Bus.”

Seacrest had told him he was incorrect, leaving the contestant disappointed with his head down.

Sheree was next up and had guessed: “Time, Animal, Decorations and Bus,” slightly differentiating from her opponent’s answer by not repeating the category’s word over and over.

Seacrest had then congratulated her on winning $10,000 while also taking a moment to point out his error.

As the host was explaining the defeat, viewers rushed to X enraged at the host’s call.

One said, “Damn @RyanSeacrest did Todd dirty there… Pat [Sajak] always reminded the contestants to only say what was up there and not to add anything extra.”

Another added, “Ryan Seacrest ROBBED him. Pat always made sure to say don’t add anything… ooo I’d be pissed.”

A third advised, “@RyanSeacrest need to brush up on your game host skills.”

Others put the blame elsewhere, with a viewer pointing out the show’s flaw, “#WheelofFortune just screwed a contestant out of nearly $10,000. Absolute thievery. Should be ashamed.”

A few thought it was no one’s fault except the contestant’s, with one questioning: “No! Don’t you know by now? You just read what is up there! You don’t add anything!”

Fortunately, Todd was still fortunate enough to go home with his prize fund of $10,000.
