‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Hate The Changes Ryan Seacrest Made. What Ryan Seacrest Changed

Many fans are unhappy with Ryan Seacrest’s role as the host of The Wheel of Fortune. While just as many love Seacrest in the role, others find everything to complain about. The most recent complaints are about the current winners this season, and they are blaming Ryan for the results.

One fan has said they don’t like a few things about this season and seem to think it is Seacrest’s fault.

Are The Winners Changing On Wheel Of Fortune?

Ryan Seacrest has mainly changed the mood of Wheel of Fortune. He seems much more personable with the players, although some fans feel he is not as empathetic with people losing as Pat Sajak was. However, at least one fan thinks that Ryan is to blame for how people are playing the game now.

In a Reddit thread, a Redditor named Medical-Butterfly986 wrote that they noticed changes to the show since Ryan Seacrest joined the show. According to the commenter, here are the changes they noticed this season:

“More bankrupts have been spun.”
“The person who wins the prize puzzle usually wins the game (especially since the trips are worth more money these days).”
“I thought Pat used to spin the wheel for the final round, but now a contestant spins.”
“Did Vanna ever wear pants before Ryan took over?”

There are a few things to consider regarding these “changes.”  It is likely inaccurate to say that “more bankrupts” are being spun. These are all random, and there is no way that Seacfrest has anything to do with people’s luck in spinning the wheel.

The second one is a legitimate concern, although it likely has nothing to do with Seacrest. When the person wins the trip, it is usually worth more than the money any of the players won, making the rest of the game seem meaningless. However, this is not new to this season; it was this way with Pat Sajak.

Ryan Seacrest Does Do Some Things Differently On Wheel of Fortune

However, some things have changed. One of the big ones is that Ryan lets the players spin the wheel for the final round so they can have control over what prize spot it lands on. What they win is all in their hands, and Ryan has no control over it.

As for Vanna White wearing pants sometimes, that is all her call. She wore black pants under a hot pink dress once in 2023 when Pat Sajak hosted the show (via Fox News). So, that is nothing new with Ryan as the host.

Finally, one person commented on the Reddit thread, “Ryan talks too much.” Plenty of fans will debate this. Some fans love that Ryan is more personable and friendly with the contestants. However, fans who hated Ryan from the start don’t want to hear him talk at all.
