Serena Williams has traded the tennis court for the red carpet after her retirement. The 23-time Grand Slam champion has become a fashion icon, turning heads each time with her outfit at many events.

On Thursday, another such event came by that showcased Williams’ fitness game. This time, she wore a sheer black lace midi dress paired with a long black coat draped over one shoulder. She styled her hair with cascading blonde curls and posed with a confident smile. In one photo, she struck a pose against a bold black-and-white striped backdrop.

Venus Williams and Andrea Preti announced their engagement this year. It happened when, in a post-match interview, the former Wimbledon champion called Preti “her fiancé.”

While no final date has been announced, the preparations for the upcoming nuptials have already started.

Serena Williams has taken the initiative in wedding preparations. During her exclusive interview with People, she offered an insight, sharing:

“We talk every day now because we have so much going on. Well, let me rephrase that. Venus has so much planning that she’s doing that I’m just talking to her all the time.”

At the wedding preparations, Serena described her role as someone who gets things done. Talking about how she’s helping Venus, she said:

“‘Can you help me arrange this? Can you call’? I’m the person that gets things done… She wanted me to help her with some dresses, or was it hairstyles?”

Serena also shared an incident where she helped Venus review 14 different hairstyles. Serena compiled it into a PDF to assist in decision-making.

“So she sent me her options and within 30 minutes I had them not only done, but in a PDF file what hairstyle looked best on everyone,” Serena said. “So I pulled out my computer because I work in [venture capital] and you just got to get things done.”

The wedding bells may very well be already ringing as Venus Williams recently shared an insight into the celebration during her vacation in Italy, where she was surrounded by friends wearing “Team Bride” and “Team Groom: T-shirts.
