Vanna White had more than one clever nickname for her co-host

Vanna White and Ryan Seacrest just had some fun with nicknames on the Wheel of Fortune set, and fans are loving it.
During the Wednesday, May 14 episode, the duo was discussing nicknames on the set of the famous game show.
“Earlier during the break, I called Vanna her nickname, ‘V-Dubs’. I said, ‘Come on, V Dubs. We gotta go!’ And that’s not the first time, right?” Seacrest, 50, asked.
“No, that’s what my boyfriend calls me, ‘V Dubs,’” White, 68, revealed of her longtime partner, John Donaldson. “How about you?” she then asked her co-host.
Seacrest replied, “I don’t really have a great nickname, but if anyone wants to choose one for me…” That’s when White got creative, throwing out a few options.
“You ready, R Sea?” she asked, to which Seacrest responded enthusiastically, “Yeah. Show time. Let’s do it!” She then tried again with “Ry Guy,” but the radio host seemed a bit confused, asking, “Who?” Finally, she landed on “Ryan-stone cowboy,” causing Seacrest to laugh and humor her with, “Yes, I am. Let’s go.”
Although none of the names seemed to stick, White admitted, “Out of trying them all out, I still like ‘Ryan’ the best, but you never know.” Seacrest agreed, “Yeah, it’s got to come naturally.”
The clip was shared to Wheel of Fortune’s Instagram account. The pair joked that they were still on the lookout for the perfect nickname, prompting fans to offer their suggestions in the comments.
“Ry-Guy has a nice ring to it!” one stated.
Another joked, “Anyone know where the Colgate is? Because I just see crest.”
“Ry-Fi like WiFi, because he’s so connected! “ a third said.
Seacrest officially took over as the host of Wheel in September 2024. The American Idol alum succeeded Pat Sajak, who retired after 41 seasons. Seacrest’s debut episode featured a new set design and special surprises for contestants, including an NFL wedge and trips to Mexico and Italy.
