Serena Williams Proves Feathers Are Still Her Forte at Gucci’s “The Tiger” Event

The Gucci Spring/Summer 2026 presentation might not have been a runway show, but that didn’t stop the house from drawing an impressive, all-star front row.

Hosting guests at the Stock Exchange Palace in Milan, creative director Demna Gvasalia— known mononymously as Demna—premiered his fashion film The Tiger, which features looks from his debut collection for the house, called La Famiglia. Directed by Academy Award winner Spike Jonze and Babygirl’s Halina Reijn, the short starred Demi Moore as the fictional head of Gucci, with appearances from other A-listers like Alex Consani, Keke Palmer, and Kendall Jenner.

At the premiere, Serena Williams showed her support in feathery fashion. Her gown was designed with long, lightweight sleeves, and it featured a semi-opaque black dress layered over a spaghetti-strap bodysuit.

The outer fabric was printed with a subtle monogram logo design, camouflaged in part by the undergarment but still visible through the skirt of the dress. And around each hemline, dramatic feathers framed the piece, floating as Williams walked the red carpet.

You might recall that she wore a pink-and-white feathery cape from Gucci on the Met Gala red carpet back in 2021. Clearly, she hasn’t lost her love for the house’s plumes.

Letting the feathers shine without competition, the tennis star pulled her blonde hair up in a high bun, with singular strands left loose to contrast against the darker shades of the dress. Her feathery brows and long lashes mimicked the textures of the gown, and she kept her nails muted with a blush hue.

Joining the athlete at the premiere, The Tiger stars Demi Moore and Alex Consani showed up in a sequined gold gown and tiger-print fur coat, respectively. Meanwhile, other figures like Gwyneth Paltrow, Devon Lee Carlson, and Lila Moss also attended the Milan Fashion Week event. What a way to kick things off.
