Serena Williams‘ billionaire husband, Alexis Ohanian, took a sly dig at Stephen A. Smith this week, months after the ESPN host savaged the tennis star for her Super Bowl performance.

The outspoken sports analyst slammed Williams in February when he claimed that he would divorce her over her brief appearance during Kendrick Lamar‘s Super Bowl halftime show.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion surprised fans when she took to the stage to dance to the Drake diss track, ‘Not Like Us.’ Her involvement raised eyebrows given her previous romantic relationship with the Canadian rapper in 2011.

At the time, Smith claimed that it was a poor look for the now-married athlete to be ‘trolling’ an ex-boyfriend, which sparked backlash.

But eight months later, Ohanian had the last laugh when he subtly called out Smith on the analyst’s own show, ‘First Take.’

‘You hadn’t been married before, right? Cause I give advice to plenty of founders who want to build billion-dollar companies. And the reason I do that is because I build billion-dollar companies,’ the Reddit founder said on Thursday’s show.

‘So I generally try to stay in my lane in the advice department,’ he added, clearly suggesting that Smith, who has never been married, has no right to weigh in on married couples and their relationships.

Earlier this year, Smith, 57, revealed that the reason he had never tied the knot was because he knew there ‘was no way in hell I was going to be faithful.’

Meanwhile, Williams and Ohanian exchanged their vows in 2017 and now share two daughters – Alexis Olympia, eight, and Adira, two.

Yet, following Williams’ Super Bowl performance, Smith had suggested that Ohanian should leave the tennis icon.

‘You could say give her props. If I’m your husband, why are you up there trolling your ex?’ Smith said in February.

‘If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his a**, ’cause clearly you don’t belong with me.

‘What you worried about him for and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.’

Fellow analyst Ryan Clark defended Williams, saying: ‘If you’re with Serena Williams you’re going to be a kept man anyway.’

Smith’s comments sparked severe backlash but the analyst doubled down on his stance when he quote-tweeted on X post criticizing him.

‘Please go back and look at exactly what I said. I was talking overall from a man’s perspective – highlighting what most men would think,’ he wrote.

‘I didn’t utter a single disrespectful word about Serena. No issues with folks getting upset of literal serious stuff one’s pissed about. This doesn’t qualify peeps. Come on. We were joking around on @FirstTake. Damn y’all! It’s not that serious.’
