Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and husband to tennis superstar Serena Williams, recently shared some humorous insights about their relationship, revealing a few areas where he believes he has the edge over his legendary wife. Ohanian confidently claimed that he’s better than Serena at three things: drawing, cooking, and gaming.

Ohanian joked about his artistic abilities, pointing to time spent sketching with their eldest daughter, Olympia, as proof of his skills.

“There are a lot of things I’m better at than her,” he told the Spolitics with Jemele Hill podcast.

“I am a better artist. So we’ll do little drawing classes. I’ll fire up a YouTube channel where it’s like a step by step drawing class, I’m like, ‘Olympia, what do you want to draw today?’ And she’ll be like, ‘a unicorn!’ I’ll be like, ‘cool.’ Serena knows, much better artist.”

A better cook

When it comes to the kitchen, he admitted Serena‘s baking takes the crown but was quick to highlight his expertise in grilling and smoking. He also mentioned gaming as one of his strong suits, though the conversation kept the focus on the fun dynamic between the two.

“She would contest it, but I think I’m a better cook,” he added.

“She’s a better baker, but I am a better cook. And that’s simply because I really got into smoking and grilling. I obsess over stuff. We went to Austin, Olympia loved brisket, and I was like, ‘great, my baby is going to have brisket every weekend.’ Video games. Better than her at video games, not that that’s much of a skill, but I’ll take it. Game of H.O.R.S.E, yeah, her jump shot is terrible.”

The couple’s love story began in 2015, and by 2017, they had welcomed their first child, Olympia, and tied the knot in a star-studded New Orleans wedding. In 2022, they celebrated the arrival of their second daughter, Adira River, further solidifying their status as a power family.
