Serena Williams’ Daughter Olympia Shows Off Her Sweet & Sassy Side in Heartwarming New Video

Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia Ohanian knows her worth — and the 7-year-old is already a confident queen. Olympia recently appeared in a new video with her dad Alexis Ohanian, defending why girls are better than boys in the cutest way. She is full of sass, super sweet, and is such a daddy’s girl.

“My girls show me the world in ways I never saw before: kind, sweet, and okay… a little chaotic,” the Reddit co-founder, who also shares daughter Adira, 23 months, with Williams, wrote on Instagram this week. “It’s made me more empathetic—and better at building the things that actually matter.”

In the selfie video, Ohanian talks to followers on-screen with Olympia by his side. In the clip, Ohanian is chatting about his favorite parts of being a girl dad, and before he could even say one, Olympia pops in: “It’s fun!” she says with a wide-eyed look at the camera. We know that’s right!

“It’s the best!” her dad agreed. He also shared some of the “amazing” parts about having daughters, including “see[ing] what the world is like through the eyes of little girls.” At this point, Olympia grabs his head and moves it, and Ohanian says girl dad life is also “full of craziness” and keeps him “busy and active.”

Honestly, so true. And we feel like it’s the same for parents of boys, too, but Olympia disagrees. After saying how “kind” and “nice” his daughters are to him, Ohanian muses, “I think if I had boys maybe they would be too, but I don’t know.”

“No way!” Olympia says, as she gives her dad his hat back that she stole. So cute!

“I love being a girl dad, and it gives me more empathy,” he continued. “I think it makes me just a better businessman. Even when they’re asking for s’mores. Even though we’re not having s’mores tonight,” he added, turning to Olympia to make sure she heard.

Olympia just turned his “no,” into another opportunity, finagling her dad for ice cream instead. He offered pineapple and water, and he turned it down, but allowed her to have just “one scoop” of ice cream. “The littlest scoop!” he called after her as she ran off. (Hey, whatever helps you feel like you’re still in charge, dad!)

“Little does he know, she wanted ice cream all along and used the s’mores as a negotiation tactic. Well done (from the daughter of a girl dad 🙂‍↕️),” one person wrote. Someone else wrote, “Olympia’s negotiation skills are top tier 😍😍😍😍😂😂😂”

“Wrapped around her finger…love it,” another person noted.

In an episode on his Business Dad podcast last year, Ohanian shared another one of his favorite parts of fatherhood. “I am a sucker for the unsolicited hug or the unsolicited, ‘I love you, Papa,’” he said. “It is pure black tar heroin of addiction. When it comes out of nowhere and it hits you, it is the greatest joy and high ever.”

“And then if I get a hug with it or a kiss on the cheek, it has made my month,” he added. “Maybe that’s why it’s so special because you can’t control it.”

Ohanian is also setting a good example for his daughters of how a woman should be treated by the way he treats his wife. In a recent interview with TODAY, he gushed about Williams and how she is as a mom.

“Y’all don’t get to see, as amazing as she is as an athlete, you know, greatest of all time, she’s an even greater mom,” he said about the 23-time Grand Slam champion. “She’s an amazing, amazing mother.” PERIOD! Girls should never settle for anything less than a person who loves every part of you like this, and we know Olympia and Adira are growing up learning that firsthand.
