Venus Williams is getting ready to hit the tennis court again.

On Aug. 25, Venus will play in the U.S. Open, marking her first appearance in a Grand Slam tournament in two years.

Her sister, Serena Williams, will be cheering her on, and though she retired from the sport in 2022, the decades that the sisters took on the court together are a huge part of sports history.

During the years they were both active, Serena and Venus often wore coordinating outfits on the court, leading to plenty of twinning moments that took place even during some of the sisters’ most high profile tournaments, Wimbledon included.

In honor of Venus’ return to the court, check out these sweet throwback photos of her and her sister Serena through the years.

On and off the court, Serena has talked about copying older sister Venus.

“I was like, ‘Why am I not Venus?’ And she was tired of me copying her. She was like, ‘Get your own identity, please!’ ” Serena told GQ in November 2018 about how close they were, and still are.

Little Sister Strikes Again

Sure, she’s arguably the greatest athlete of all time, but she’s always going to be Venus’ little sister. Serena shared this throwback with a caption that all little sisters can relate to.

“🙏🏾 I promise I will stay out of your room 😒 (maybe) although I was just there getting some things I needed 🙈 ,” she ended her cheeky note, adding the hashtag “#sisters.”
